It has partnered with the Gallery on various blockbuster exhibitions since 2000 including Degas: master of French art, Ballets Russes: the art of costume, and Toulouse-Lautrec: Paris and the Moulin Rouge. These exhibitions have driven tourism and boosted the local economy, creating positive flow-on effects for local hospitality and tourism businesses who are also ActewAGL business customers.

ActewAGL was most recently a Presenting Partner of the blockbuster exhibition James Turrell: A Retrospective. This exhibition was a tremendous fit for ActewAGL's brand, tying together themes of light and energy with innovation and vision. ActewAGL's partnership with the National Gallery of Australia greatly enhanced the profile of the exhibition and the visitor experience.

In 2011, during the Ballet Russes exhibition ActewAGL and the Gallery jointly hosted the ActewAGL Ballet Russes Costume Ball which raised funds for a local charity Hands Across Canberra. This wonderful event raised much need funds and awareness for Hands Across Canberra and allowed ActewAGL to host a networking opportunity for key stakeholders.
