Is this the first ever pregnancy announcement made by Siri?

“Congratulations, you are a grandmother. P.S. I think you should name your child Siri.”
“Congratulations, you are a grandmother. P.S. I think you should name your child Siri.”

This is no run-of-the-mill pregnancy announcement. When Rachel Earls and her husband Harold approached the task of telling family members about their pregnancy, nothing ordinary was ever going to make the grade. Rachel is a prolific vlogger and came up with the most unexpected way of telling her mum she is about to be a grandmother.

The video shows all three in car, ostensibly pulled over for an unplanned stop, with the dash cam running. Rachel is in the back, her husband is in the driver's seat and Rachel's mum in the front passenger seat. All of a sudden there's an announcement over the car's bluetooth speaker system; an event expertly totted up by the couple using Siri on Rachel's phone.

"Attention all passengers, pardon the interruption," SIRI announces. "Exclamation mark. Due to the baby on board, please be extra careful."

Her reaction turns from bafflement to complete and utter joy as it dawns on her she is going to be a grandma. Siri then throws in a joke for the overjoyed grandmother-to-be, saying, "Congratulations, you are a grandmother. P.S. I think you should name your child Siri."
