Three people have died in a well on a property at Lade Vale between Yass and Gunning.
Police and other emergency services were called out early this evening to a property just off the Hume Highway.
It is understood a woman had fallen into the well on the property and two men had attempted to rescue her.
All three are believed to have died in at-this-stage unknown circumstances.
Police have yet to comment on the tragic event, however it is believed investigators are looking at whether gas from a petrol engine in or near the well contributed to the deaths.
Emergency service personnel worked throughout the evening to retrieve the victims' bodies from the well near the front of the property.
Goulburn police joined their emergency service counterparts, including ambulance and fire and rescue personnel from Yass.
The property is just off the Hume Highway about 1km from Gunning.
