It’s not options! It’s publishers putting a completed game behind a paywall. The game is done. It should be released to everyone.
Because if the game is done on Friday, everyone should be able to play it on Friday.
Do you seriously want this to become a trend? Game publishers taking a completed game and making those that want to play on release day pay more? Really?
Agreed. "At least she’s trying" is exactly it for me.
It’s easy to brush off an issue because it’s been the norm for so long. It takes courage to address the issue and strive for something better.
Progress comes one step at a time.
At least in this case most of the examples directly trace back to older media, rather than being specific to or invented by games.
That’s one of her points though: Games did not invent this concept but they do perpetuate it. Which is bad for everyone.
