One rural CFA Station has come under hot water.

One rural CFA Station has come under hot water.

A senior member of a regional CFA Station has been stood aside pending a full investigation.

This comes after a security camera had been found to film women getting changed in a shed without their knowledge.

It is also understood the names of women who may have been caught up in the footage are also being collected.

It's unknown how long the camera was in operation.

In a statement given to 3AW Mornings, a CFA Spokesperson says, "This matter is now subject of an investigation. We are taking this matter very seriously. CFA is committed to ensuring its workplaces are safe, secure and support the wellbeing of staff and volunteers at all times."

A source has told 3AW's Neil Mitchell the camera was set up for security reasons, but none of the women were made aware they were being filmed until recently.

Neil says the incident is a "betrayal of staff" in a workplace environment.

"It is a stupid decision, insulting and disturbing."

The camera has since been removed. Victoria Police have been notified.
