Glamour
If you Google the word 'glamour', there appear several definitions. The first, more obvious examples speak of appealing qualities or beauty - the glamour of Monte Carlo or the glamour of a catwalk model. But right down the bottom, there's another definition that has mostly dropped out of modern lingo -
glamour: (archaic) Enchantment or magic.

What is your book about?
The Marvels is about family and friendship and love and the theatre and London and shipwrecks and dogs and mysteries and stories and art and life and things like that!
One of the greatest things about books is their ability to completely transport you - to a different country, time or state of mind. So this is my short shortlist of the three books that do this best, each from a different genre, but all possessing that magic that Dahl speaks of in Matilda: ‘she travelled all over the world while sitting in her little room in an English village’.

What is your book about?
My book is about two boys falling in love over email. J It’s also about a sixteen-year-old boy named Simon navigating his junior year of high school, figuring out his sexual identity, dealing with friend drama, and getting to know himself.

Hello, I’m Hannah and I adore reading (and writing). Favourite genres include historical fiction, sci-fi, fantasy or historical science fantasy (actually, I made that one up but it sounds basically like steampunk). I live a bit beyond the Black Stump, in a tiny town in the Little Liverpool Range. It’s story country – gold hills, ghostly gums, wattle and blue, blue sky make the perfect place to write and read.
