A SURPRISE ANIME COVER TO END OUT APRIL! :D
So yeah! I've been watching a WHOLE lot of Naruto lately. I'm on episode 117 lol *NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!* I'm LOVING the show, and this opening in particular spoke to me. The translation is just...so hard to follow xD So I took some pretty big liberties with the translation so a story could be told. This one really pushed me too. Aside from a straight heavy metal cover, the screaming on this one was a difficult task. And it's also my favorite part of the song heh. I hope y'all enjoy and share it with a fellow Naruto geek! English lyrics below :)

Kanata is an aboriginal word meaning "village" or "settlement."
Name of Canada
The Mohawk word "kanata" was thought to have been the origin of Canada's name. But, as evidenced by the journal of Jacques Cartier regarding his voyage to present-day Quebec,Canada, in the early 16th century, Canada's name stems from the Saint-Lawrence Iroquoian word "Canada", which holds the same meaning. This Iroquoian language was spoken by the inhabitants of Stadacona and the neighbouring region near present-day Quebec City in the 16th century, with words having similarities to those in related Iroquoian languages, most notably in Mohawk and Oneida.
Kanata, Ontario is the name of a former city, now part of the amalgamated city of Ottawa in Ontario, Canada.

A SURPRISE ANIME COVER TO END OUT APRIL! :D
So yeah! I've been watching a WHOLE lot of Naruto lately. I'm on episode 117 lol *NO SPOILERS PLEASE!!* I'm LOVING the show, and this opening in particular spoke to me. The translation is just...so hard to follow xD So I took some pretty big liberties with the translation so a story could be told. This one really pushed me too. Aside from a straight heavy metal cover, the screaming on this one was a difficult task. And it's also my favorite part of the song heh. I hope y'all enjoy and share it with a fellow Naruto geek!
