Carter Benedict Burwell (born November 18, 1955) is an American composer of film scores. He is best known as a regular collaborator of the Coen brothers, having scored 17 of their films, among them Raising Arizona (1987), Barton Fink (1991), Fargo (1996), The Big Lebowski (1998), No Country for Old Men (2007), Burn After Reading (2008), and True Grit (2010). Other notable works include the Spike Jonze films Being John Malkovich (1999), Adaptation (2002) and Where the Wild Things Are (2009), David O. Russell's Three Kings (1999), the miniseries Olive Kitteridge (2014), Anomalisa (2015), and Todd Haynes' Velvet Goldmine (1998), Mildred Pierce miniseries, and Carol (2015).
Burwell was born in New York City, the son of Natalie (née Benedict), a math teacher, and Charles Burwell, who founded Thaibok Fabrics, Ltd. He graduated from King School in Stamford, Connecticut, and Harvard College, where he was a cartoonist for The Harvard Lampoon.
As a film composer, Burwell has had a long-working relationship with the Coen brothers, providing music for every film they have made (except for O Brother, Where Art Thou? and Inside Llewyn Davis, which had folk music soundtracks produced by T-Bone Burnett). He enjoys working with left-field directors, such as Spike Jonze. Among his best known film scores are Miller's Crossing (1990), And the Band Played On (1993), Conspiracy Theory (1997), Hamlet (2000), The Spanish Prisoner (1997), Before the Devil Knows You're Dead (2007), In Bruges (2008), Twilight (2008), Where The Wild Things Are (2009), The Blind Side (2009), and Breaking Dawn Part 1 (2011). Burwell wrote and recorded the original score for the film The Bourne Identity, but his version was replaced by director Doug Liman for one by John Powell.
The Twilight soundtrack is the official music for the 2008 film Twilight. The score was composed by Carter Burwell, with the rest of the soundtrack chosen by music supervisor Alexandra Patsavas. The album was released on November 4, 2008 by Patsavas' Chop Shop label in conjunction with Atlantic Records. The album debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200, having sold about 165,000 copies in its first week of release, 29% of which were digital downloads.Twilight: The Score was made available for digital download on November 25, 2008, and the album was released to stores on December 9, 2008.
Twilight is the best-selling theatrical movie soundtrack in the United States since Chicago. Both the soundtrack and the lead single, "Decode" by Paramore, were nominated for the 2010 Grammy Awards.
Director Catherine Hardwicke revealed in an interview with MTV that a song by alternative rock band Muse, later revealed to be "Supermassive Black Hole", would be included on the film's soundtrack. The soundtrack includes two songs by Paramore, a new song by Mutemath, and an original song for the film by Perry Farrell. "Flightless Bird, American Mouth" by Iron & Wine was chosen for inclusion in the movie by star Kristen Stewart, who plays Bella Swan. The soundtrack won a 2009 American Music Award for Favorite Soundtrack.
Breaking Dawn is the fourth novel in the The Twilight Saga by American author Stephenie Meyer. Divided into three parts, the first and third sections are written from Bella Swan's perspective and the second is written from the perspective of Jacob Black. The novel directly follows the events of the previous novel, Eclipse, as Bella and Edward Cullen get married, leaving behind a heartbroken Jacob. When Bella faces unexpected and life-threatening situations, she willingly risks her human life and possible vampire immortality to undergo the ultimate transformation from a weak pawn to the strong queen with unique powers to fight the final battle to save all those she loves.
Meyer finished an outline of the book in 2003, but developed and changed it as she wrote New Moon and Eclipse, though the main and most significant storylines remained unchanged. Little, Brown and Company took certain measures to prevent the book's contents from leaking, such as closing forums and message boards on several fansites and providing a special e-mail address for fans to send in links to leaks and spoilers online.
Flightless birds are birds that have evolved the inability to fly. There are over 40 extant species including the well known ratites (ostrich, emu, cassowary, rhea and kiwi) and penguins. The smallest flightless bird is the Inaccessible Island rail (length 12.5 cm, weight 34.7 g). The largest (both heaviest and tallest) flightless bird, which is also the largest living bird, is the ostrich (2.7 m, 156 kg). Ostriches are farmed for their decorative feathers, meat and their skins, which are used to make leather.
Many domesticated birds, such as the domestic chicken and domestic duck, have lost the ability to fly for extended periods, although their ancestral species, the red junglefowl and mallard respectively, are capable of extended flight.
Flightlessness has evolved in many different birds independently. There were also other families of flightless birds, such as the now extinct Phorusrhacidae, that evolved to be powerful terrestrial predators. Taking this to a greater extreme, the terror birds, Gastornithiformes, and dromornithids (all extinct) all evolved similar body shapes (i.e. long legs, long necks and big heads), yet none of them were closely related. Furthermore, they also share traits of being giant, flightless birds with vestigial wings, long legs, and long necks with some of the ratites, although they are not related.
The Twilight (Farsi: Gagooman) is a 2002 Iranian movie.
Download song: http://www.mediafire.com/?nyuzqlwqwog It seems I have to clear up some confusion. This song is called "Bella's Lullaby" by Carter Burwell. Many other people have posted with similar titles under "Bella's Lullaby" and/or Carter Burwell, but some of the videos posted are not truly Bella's official lullaby such as River Flows in You by Yiruma, which has become very popular. There happens to be another song on the soundtrack with the same title...and this song did not appear on the soundtrack. But it is still Bella's Lullaby. I own nothing. [Breaking Dawn Novel Written By Stephenie Meyer] For me this tears me up, when Edward and Bella are driving off to the airport for their honeymoon you can hear Jacob's heart broken howling in the forest. I was so happy that they put that in the film from the book, it makes this sequence more emotional as at the wedding reception he was angry about Bella having a "Real Honeymoon".

Listen to the whole interview: http://wny.cc/SQCum6 Film composer Carter Burwell has had a storied career as a film composer for the past two decades. Known for his longtime collaboration with the Coen Brothers and Spike Jonze in which he has scored all their films, including their latest, A Serious Man and Where The Wild Things Are, respectively. He joins us along with cellist Maya Beiser today to talk about the complex art of film scoring, and to present his latest works for cello.

(she probably is just trying to get me views lawl, gotta love my sis) Sorry about the climatic bit. I believe I was too loud for this song.. Hopefully you will still appreciate my efforts. Your Pianist and Composer, Kyle Landry I am pretty sure a fan transcribed this. I just have no clue where it is... someone help?
A movie score usually goes unnoticed, unless it’s very bad -- or very good. Composer Carter Burwell has written music for more than 80 films over a 30-year career, but his soundtrack for “Carol” is his first to be nominated for an Oscar. Jeffrey Brown sits down with Burwell to discuss his composing process and the proper use of music in films.

I DON'T OWN ANYTHING! Carter Burwell - A Novia Vida from Breaking Dawn Part 1 Soundtrack
With a career composing some of the most memorable music lines in modern film for The Coens, Bill Condon, Spike Jonze and Todd Haynes among many others, Carter Burwell has never gotten an Oscar nomination for a score. Part of that is that many of the filmmakers he works with mix in a lot of pre-recorded music. But this year, his scores are front and center in three films, Haynes' Carol, Charlie Kaufman's Anomalisa, and Condon't Mr. Holmes. He spoke to David Poland on the day of his first movie junket.

Paramount Pictures asked me to interview film score composer Carter Burwell about his incredible score for the Coen Bros. movie True Grit. I worked with a great Director of Photography, Steve Yaconetti, and we met Carter at his Long Island home. Steve and I decided on the setting and backgrounds for the interview, I conducted the interview (Carter is responding to my questions) and some of the additional B-roll shots I suggested to Steve were used by Paramount's editing team. This is the featurette produced and copyrighted by Paramount Pictures in 2010.

Composer Jeff Russo is behind the music to the critically acclaimed and popular new series Fargo on FX. Jeff shares about his background and how he came to film and TV scoring. We dive into his process for Fargo, which sees him continuing his collaboration with showrunner/writer and creator Noah Hawley. The process for Fargo was so interesting as Jeff explains he wrote a majority of all the music to script before production. He discusses how he embraced the tone and world created by Carter Burwell's score to the film but aimed to flesh out an entirely new world. We chat about balancing the dark humor and heavy emotional weight of the series as well. A very fascinating interview with a fantastic composer who is doing amazing work on one of the best series on television right now. Interview...

http://www.ascap.com Carol is a film about intimacy, told intimately by director Todd Haynes. Its score, by ASCAP composer Carter Burwell, is an essential part of Carol’s elegant tapestry. Its cues are composed of small musical gestures, hinting at the passions under the surface. A week before the film's November 20, 2015 release, we asked Burwell about how he crafted the film's luminous score. To start off our interview, Burwell told us his favorite Christmas carol. Anne is an avid bicycle enthusiast. She has a one night stand with a fellow biker, Chris, who is also apparently a cop. He gets rough with her and the memory haunts her. Three days later her boyfriend, Micheal, and her go into the Whistler range of mountains for a biking trip. Chris shows up, stalking and frightening them as they make their way further into the dangerous mountain range. Micheal is killed and Anne spends her time trying to survive, while witnessing the demise of several other innocent "bystanders" in the process.

This is one of the earliest of the Mind's Eye Group's collaborations. Jason & I worked with choreographer Claudia Edwards and the Vanderbilt University Dance Ensemble, and with students of Don Evan's Multi-Media art class to create this piece. The piece was performed in the beautiful marble lobby of the Cohen Building at Vanderbilt, taking the room itself as inspiration. The audience watched the performance from the balconies, and the four musicians were in each corner of the room. Don's students created a series of handmade slides that were projected over the dancers from above. One part of the piece had the room in complete darkness, while a performer clad in hundreds of specks of glow-in-the-dark performed. She looked like a swarm of fireflies suspended in the darkness. Unfortunately, t...

And so the lion fell in love with the lamb.
What a stupid lamb.
What a sick masochistic lion.
About three things I was absolutely positive.
First, Edward was a vampire.
Second, there was a part of him -
and I didn't know how dominant that part might be -
that thirsted for my blood.
And third, I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love
with him.
