Part punk, part balladeer, a little bit country, a bit of pop, a lot of rock n roll, but never out of fashion, Declan MacManus aka Elvis Costello has been writing, recording, performing and touring for 5 decades! He is perfectly unique and a most prolific and fearless pop progressive. His collaborations and ventures into all genres gives him that distinctive acclaim and enduring love by his fans.
'Alison' is the near enough to a title cut on his debut LP 'My aim is true' released in the middle of 1977. While not a major hit either in Britain or here in Australia, it remains one of his best loved songs, and displays not only his gentler self, but the assured writer and performer that he already was on his first recording. Enjoy!

Declan Patrick MacManus (born 25 August 1954), better known by his stage name Elvis Costello, is an English musician, singer-songwriter and record producer. He began his career as part of London's pub rock scene in the early 1970s and later became associated with the first wave of the British punk and new wave movement of the mid-to-late 1970s. His critically acclaimed debut album, My Aim Is True, was recorded in 1977. Shortly after recording it he formed the Attractions as his backing band. His second album, This Year's Model, was released in 1978, and was ranked number 11 by Rolling Stone on its list of the best albums from 1967–1987. His third album, Armed Forces, was released in 1979, and features his most successful single "Oliver's Army". His first three albums all appeared on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time.
Costello and the Attractions toured and recorded together for the better part of a decade, though differences between them caused a split by 1986. Much of Costello's work since has been as a solo artist, though reunions with members of the Attractions have been credited to the group over the years. Steeped in wordplay, the vocabulary of Costello's lyrics is broader than that of most popular songs. His music has drawn on many diverse genres; one critic described him as a "pop encyclopaedia", able to "reinvent the past in his own image".

Alison Wonderland
Alex Sholler, better known by her stage name Alison Wonderland, is a Sydney-based DJ and producer signed to EMI Music Australia, which is part of Universal Music Australia. She initially trained as a classical musician, and is a trained cellist. In 2014 she embarked on a national tour playing in warehouses across Australia. Wonderland's debut album, Run, was released on 20 March 2015.
Career
2013-14: "Get Ready", "Calm Down" and Commerical breakthrough
After signing with EMI music Australia, Alison Wonderland gained popularity after her debut single "Get Ready" which features rapper Fishing was released on January 1, 2013. Soon after on June 27, 2014 her debut EP "Calm Down" was released and peaked at 38 on the ARIA chart, which preceded with singles "I Want U" and "Cold". The first of which peaked at 38 on the ARIA Charts as well as topping the Hype Machine charts, and was subsequently then made her biggest hit. The Extended Play Was praised by Major Lazer member Diplo and Annie Mac.

Alison Wheeler
Alison Wheeler (born 4 March 1972) is a British singer, best known as the female vocalist for The Beautiful South from 2003 until they disbanded in 2007.
Wheeler's career in music began at university in a cover band called Melt City, alongside Hal Ritson, now of The Young Punx, Kev Dowd, now of Lowbrow, James Woods, now of Jam Sandwich and Dom Wilhelm, (of 1990s UK pop punk act Satellite Beach). On arriving in London she joined indie band Junk, subsequently renamed Treehouse, well known on the Camden & Islington gig circuit (The Dublin Castle, Bull & Gate, the Laurel Tree, the Hope & Anchor, Islington).
In 1998 Wheeler responded to an audition for a "girl band" Virginia, masterminded by record producer Ian Shaw (founder of Warm Fuzz Records) and then consisting of Louise Miller and Lee Winnick, the latter shortly afterwards replaced by Laura Matthews. Virginia featured repeatedly as guests on BBC Radio, particularly Janice Long, Jonathan Ross, Gyles Brandreth, Nicky Campbell and Ned Sherrin, as well as TV appearances in Northern Ireland on the Kelly Show. Tracks from Virginia's first album Firstbite had chart success in the US Billboard charts.
