Deepak Chopra (/ˈdiːpɑːk ˈtʃoʊprə/ Hindustani pronunciation: [d̪iːpək tʃoːpraː]; born October 22, 1947) is an Indian American author and public speaker. He is an alternative medicine advocate and a promoter of popular forms of spirituality. He has been described by the New York Times as a "controversial New-Age guru" though Chopra says guru is "a title I’ve rejected for thirty years". Through his books and videos, he has become one of the best-known and wealthiest figures in the "holistic-health" movement.
Chopra studied medicine in India before emigrating in 1970 to the United States. As a physician he specialized in endocrinology and became Chief of Staff at the New England Memorial Hospital (NEMH). In the 1980s he began to practice transcendental meditation (TM). In 1985 he resigned his position at NEMH to establish the Maharishi Ayurveda Health Center. Chopra left the TM movement in 1994 and founded the Chopra Center for Wellbeing. He gained a following in the 1990s after his interview on the The Oprah Winfrey Show regarding his books.

Plot: Dr Julian Stone had a happy life until he decided to propose. The unorthodox psychologist is forced to choose between his over dependent patients and his fiancee. Plot: Leela and Deepak are engaged to each other and are in love also. They eventually get married. In order to better his career, Deepak goes to the big city to educate himself. He does manage to get Leela to run away from the temple's vicinity, and it is then he comes to know the horrifying truth as to how Leela became the reincarnation of a Hindu Goddess. Leela is captured back, and Deepak is unable to meet with her, so he ends up kidnapping Nimi in order to secure the release of Leela. However, this attempt backfires, and shoot to kill orders are issued to apprehend Deepak, who, now on the run from the law, realizes that the entire government machinery is against him from finding out the truth behind this deception.

Plot: After Mrs. Chaudhary passes away, her husband asks his son, Nirmal, to study medicine, become a doctor, and live in a small village to help patients who are unable to travel great distances to see a medical professional. Nirmal follows his father's advise, becomes a doctor, and starts his practice in Nand Gaon. He meets with Anuradha Roy, a well-known Radio Singer and stage dancer, and falls in love with her, he treats her injured ankle, both fall in love, and get married, without the blessings of Anuradha's wealthy dad, Brijeshwar Prasad Roy. Both re-locate to Nandgaon where Anuradha gives up her singing and becomes a housewife. She soon gives birth to a daughter, Ranu. Then 10 years later, her apologetic dad comes to visit her, and takes Ranu away for a holiday with him. Shortly thereafter, Anuradha's former beau, Deepak, the England-returned man her dad had wanted her to marry, re-enters her life. He witnesses that she is being neglected by her overly busy husband, asks her to return back to singing, and go and live with her dad. At first she refuses and asks him to leave, then relents when she sees that Nirmal has indeed been neglecting her, even on their wedding anniversary. She then informs Deepak she is ready to move out. That night when Nirmal returns home, Anuradha informs him about her decision to leave him. Watch what impact this has on Nirmal, and what he does, if anything, in order to keep this marriage intact.
