More trouble on V/Line trains out west. The 7.54am Wyndham Vale to Southern Cross will not run today due to a train fault. You're taking a coach today.
When Valentine's Day comes around, I'm always amused by how media flacks attempt to get attention, ours and yours, for their general warnings, using February 14 as a hook.
Our favourites so far are: Don't let the dog get into the chocolates. It's potentially deadly for them.
And after the ardours of the amours tonight - blow out the candles. The Metropolitan Fire Brigade says they can cause fires.
We sure hope @oshergunsberg blows out every candle after the last roseπ―

Two teenage girls used a razor blade to rob a 13-year-old girl of her shoes last night, reports Age reporter Daniella Miletic.
The 13-year-old girl was with friends, on Warrigal Road, Holmesglen, about 8.30pm, when she was approached by two older girls, aged in their late teens.
The older girls, one armed with a razor blade, allegedly demanded the victim's mobile phone, which she was holding. The victim handed the phone to one of her friends who ran away from the group. The offenders then demanded the victims shoes. As the victim was removing her shoes she received a small cut to back of her hand.
The offenders left with the victim's shoes, one of which was located shortly after the incident by the victim. The victim received treatment for a minor wound to her hand at the scene.
The two female offenders were described as Caucasian appearance and aged in their mid to late teens.

Happy Valentine's Day Melbourne Express peeps. Today we welcome back the poll to the blog.
At the weekend The Age ran a story saying the average spend for a romantic on Valentine's Day is $100 based on a Finder.com.au survey, but some big spenders are cranking it up to $315. I'm not sure I buy the survey results. Let's see how much, if anything, Express readers spend. Results at the end of the blog.
Back with the headlines soon, but in the meantimeβ¦
