Second car crashes into Swan River

Another car has veered off Mounts Bay Road into the Swan River in Crawley - the second in as many weeks. 

Nine News Perth reported the driver crashed through bush and safety railing before ploughing into the water just before 6am Monday morning.

Car crashes into the Swan River

A car is slowly being taken out of the Swan River after it drove off Mounts Bay Road into the water on Monday morning. Vision: Today Perth News.

He emerged from the water uninjured. 

It is not known what caused the driver to veer from the road. 

On February 1, a woman in her 50s was distracted by her GPS when she also veered off the road into the river from Mounts Bay Road. 

A passerby jumped into the river and rescued her around 5.30pm. 

The female driver was also unhurt.

Both vehicles were removed from the river by crane.
