Welcome!
The crystal-clear waters surrounding Isla Mujeres are the
perfect place to enjoy some amazing diving adventures. Whether you are a beginner
or experienced diver, the reefs and wrecks below the surface of the ocean are teeming
with spectacular coral and sea life. Carey Dive Center is one of the most well-established
and experienced dive shops on the island. We specialize in PADI diving courses,
families, groups and private trips. We not only offer diving, but also snorkeling,
fishing, whale shark tours and cenote excursions.
Carey Dive Center is owned and operated by Gilberto Pat Hoil, PADI and NAUI Dive
Instructor. Gilberto has been diving in the waters around Isla Mujeres since he
was 15 years old. Since becoming a dive instructor in 1996, Gilberto has certified
thousands of students from around the world. "My students often return to dive with
me," says Gilberto. "And many go on to become dive instructors, because they enjoyed
their first experience of diving so much."
Carey Dive Center is one of the biggest dive shops on the island with a full team
of professional staff offering a reliable service. It has a comfortable classroom
for dive students, wet area to wash and store dive equipment, showers and lockers.
The center is fully equipped with top quality scuba equipment and wetsuits in all
sizes. We also have our own compressor for filling tanks.
Make the most of your scuba diving trip to Isla Mujeres by exploring the underwater
world with Carey Dive Center. If you are looking for dive training and PADI scuba
certification look no further. All of our staff, including our PADI instructors
and divemasters look forward to welcoming you at Carey Dive Center!
Offer Of The Month - Underwater Museum
For a uniquely different snorkelling or diving experience, we can take you to visit
artist Jason deCaires Taylors spectacular underwater sculpture
garden. The museum is designed to attract people away from the much-visited
Manchones Reef, to give it a well-earned break so the coral and marine life can
regenerate. The 400 life-sized figures in the underwater museum are based on real
people from Puerto Morelos and Cancun. Created in 2009, new sculptures are constantly
being added to this ambitious project, so look out for the latest arrivals, including
a retro VW Beatle car and a man munching on a hamburger in front of a TV.
Price: $70 USD one tank scuba trip (plus $10 USD equipment hire) or $45 USD snorkeling trip
