"Wings" is a song by Ringo Starr, originally recorded for and released as a single from, the album Ringo the 4th. It was co-written with Vini Poncia in 1977. Starr later re-recorded it, produced by Starr and Bruce Sugar, and released it as a single from his 2012 studio album, Ringo 2012.
"Wings" was re-recorded for Ringo 2012. Starr on the 2012 re-recording: "This is a song I first recorded on Ringo the 4th back when an album meant vinyl. These are different days, and it's one of those songs I always wanted to revisit. I wrote "Wings" with Vinnie Poncia in New York, and he doesn't know I've done this yet. I'm going to surprise Vinnie and send it to him...For the last two years, I've been listening to a lot of reggae, so this album has a reggae feel to it. What can I tell you? I'm a product of my environment. I always loved the sentiment of this song, and I'm glad we finally got it right." A live version by Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band recorded live in Atlanta, was released on the Hurricane Sandy charity compilation, Songs After Sandy: Friends of Red Hook for Sandy Relief.
Wings (Russian: От винта 3D) is a 2012 Russian animated film directed by Olga Lopato.
Wings was a folk rock band from the late sixties (not to be confused with the band later formed by Paul McCartney). The band members were veterans from an assortment of other sixties bands. Initially, the band was made up of Oz Bach of Spanky and Our Gang on bass, Pam Robins of Serendipity Singers sang, and on guitar Eddie Simon, younger brother of Paul Simon of Simon & Garfunkel. Before their first and only album was recorded, Eddie Simon was replaced with Jim Mason who co-wrote the Peter, Paul and Mary song "I Dig Rock and Roll Music". Also playing in the band were keyboardist Steve Knight, who later joined Mountain, Jefferson Airplane drummer Jerry Peloquin, and guitarist Jack McNichol.
In the summer of 1968, the band began playing as an opening act for Big Brother and the Holding Company and Sly and the Family Stone. They soon signed to the record label ABC Dunhill Records, and recorded their only album at Sunset Sound with producer Steve Barri.
The band's name comes from a small slip of paper that was sent to Jim Mason with the word "Wings" written on it.

Mutya Keisha Siobhan (often shortened to MKS) are an English girl group based in London. Formed in 2011, the group consisted of Siobhán Donaghy, Mutya Buena, and Keisha Buchanan. The trio comprised the founding members of the Sugababes, although each of them individually departed the group in 2001, 2005, and 2009, respectively. As the Sugababes, the group released their first effort, One Touch in 2000.
In November 2011, they began recording their debut album alongside the likes of Dev Hynes, Shaznay Lewis, Cameron McVey, Naughty Boy, Richard X, William Orbit, and MNEK. They officially confirmed they had formed as a group in July 2012. In August 2013, their music video for debut single "Flatline" was released online.
The Sugababes were formed in 1998 by All Saints manager Ron Tom. Siobhán Donaghy and Mutya Buena, both aged just 13, had been signed as solo artists, but decided to work together after performing at the same showcase. While working in the studio, Buena invited her best friend Keisha Buchanan to watch them. Manager Tom decided the three girls were to be a trio, likening their different appearances to the United Colors of Benetton campaign. Originally dubbed the Sugababies, the group's name was tweaked to Sugababes when they were signed by London Records to give the group a more mature image.
The 36 Boys were an anti-fascist gang of primarily Turkish and Kurdish immigrants from Berlin-Kreuzberg.
The gang was active from the late 1980s until the mid-1990s. Besides Turkish, other nationalities were also represented in the large gang. The gang operated in the area around the Kottbusser Tor to the residential areas between the Naunynstraße and Waldemarstraße, as well as up to the Görlitzer Bahnhof. The graffiti of the 36 Boys were distributed throughout Berlin. In Kreuzberg, they served also to mark the gang's "turf". The gang took its name from the former Berlin postal borough Südost 36 or SO 36. The idea for the name of the gang came from Attila Murat Aydın, a founder of the Berlin rap scene, who was murdered by a pensioner in 2003.
In addition to the 36 Boys there were the "36 Juniors", who showed a higher potential of violence. In the beginning of the 1990s the 36 Boys fought against turf battles with Nazis and Skinheads in the Jungfernheide park. Other rival gangs were the Warriors from the Schlesisches Tor and the Black Panthers from Wedding. During the May riots in Kreuzberg, the 36 Boys initially joined the Autonomists, but the alliance was short-lived because of the group's lack of political orientation.
Well Gambling Jim took the riverboat down to Rio
Left the trail at a town called Home Sweet Home
Lost his place in the Guinness Book Of Records
As a Rolling Stone...
I`m the only cowboy... Lonely on the range
The only lonely cowboy on the range
V2: Handsome Bill had an eye out for the ladies
Said he's gonna let me know if looks can kill
But I heard tell that he ran right out of favours
And he's running still...
Chameleon Kid as the name suggests was a killer
Who made his name by the element of disguise
When he lost his way by relying on the trigger
It was no surprise...
Oh Preacher Sam was a bible fan so religious
Prayed all day but he never got no reply
Till the message came that he didn't intend to save us
It was suicide....
Well they gunned him down at the Freedom Church Revival
Died they say with the fever light in his eyes
When the bullet lodged in the pages of his bible
From the other side...
