Newton’s Apple

Newton’s Apple is a charitable non-partisan science policy foundation. The organisation aims to act as a neutral bridge between the science and policy communities, thereby increasing the contribution that science, engineering and technology can bring to the development of policy solutions for tackling issues faced by society.

Newton’s Apple aids scientists in learning more about how the policy process works, allowing them to recognise the importance of their own research to future policy development affecting the citizens of the UK.  By providing opportunities for members of the scientific and engineering communities to come together with those involved in policy and lawmaking the organisation also aims to enable various  stakeholders – charities, Government, businesses and others – to use science in the most effective way when developing policies and strategies.
