Guyana (pronounced /ɡaɪˈɑːnə/ or /ɡaɪˈænə/), officially the Co-operative Republic of Guyana, is a sovereign state on the northern mainland of South America. It is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean to the north, Brazil to the south and southwest, Suriname to the east and Venezuela to the west. With 215,000 square kilometres (83,000 sq mi), Guyana is the third-smallest country on mainland South America after Uruguay and Suriname.
The region known as "Guyana" comprised the large shield landmass north of the Amazon River and east of the Orinoco River known as the "Land of many waters". Originally inhabited by several indigenous groups, Guyana was settled by the Dutch before coming under British control in the late 18th century. It was governed as the plantation economy of British Guiana until independence in 1966, and officially became a republic within the British Commonwealth of Nations in 1970. The legacy of British rule is reflected in the country's diverse population, which includes Indian, African, Amerindian, and multiracial groups.
South America is a continent located in the Western Hemisphere, mostly in the Southern Hemisphere, with a relatively small portion in the Northern Hemisphere. It is also considered as a subcontinent of the Americas, which is the model used in Spanish-speaking nations and most of South America.
It is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean and on the north and east by the Atlantic Ocean; North America and the Caribbean Sea lie to the northwest. It includes twelve sovereign states – Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela – and two non-sovereign areas – French Guiana, an overseas department of France, and the Falkland Islands, a British Overseas Territory (though disputed by Argentina). In addition to this, the ABC islands of the Netherlands and Trinidad and Tobago may also be considered part of South America.
South America has an area of 17,840,000 square kilometers (6,890,000 sq mi). Its population as of 2005 has been estimated at more than 371,090,000. South America ranks fourth in area (after Asia, Africa, and North America) and fifth in population (after Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America). The most populous countries are Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Venezuela and Peru.

Daily News or The Daily News is the name of several daily newspapers around the world, including:
Health is the level of functional or metabolic efficiency of a living organism. In humans it is the ability of individuals or communities to adapt and self-manage when facing physical, mental or social challenges. The World Health Organization (WHO) defined health in its broader sense in its 1948 constitution as "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity." This definition has been subject to controversy, in particular as lacking operational value and because of the problem created by use of the word "complete" Other definitions have been proposed, among which a recent definition that correlates health and personal satisfaction. Classification systems such as the WHO Family of International Classifications, including the International Classification of Functioning, Disability and Health (ICF) and the International Classification of Diseases (ICD), are commonly used to define and measure the components of health. Health is that balanced condition of the living organism in which the integral, harmonious performance of the vital functions tends to the preservation of the organism and the normal development of the individual.

Guyanese cuisine is very similar to the rest of the Anglo Caribbean. The food reflects the ethnic makeup of the country and its colonial history, and includes African, Creole, East Indian, Portuguese, Amerindian, Chinese and European (mostly British) influences and dishes. The food is diverse and includes dishes such as curry and roti, and Cookup Rice, the local variation on the Caribbean rice and peas. The one pot meal while not the national dish is one of the most cooked dishes. With its various versions, according to what type of meat, peas and other ingredients available, is a true reflection of the country. Dishes have been adapted to Guyanese tastes, often by the addition of herbs and spices. Unique preparations include Pepperpot, a stew of Amerindian origin made with meat, cassaree...

It's so thrilling when your country's about to win. Yuh know, You might not believe me...But there's many talent hidden deep In In the jungle of Guyana. When I was working bush (2012-14) I saw some talented swimmers, Swimming across rivers with rapid running water (just for fun). I know someone who swam across the Demerara river! I saw strong young guys who are really good at running, But nobody really know they exist. Islands right In the Essequibo river, Leguan, Wakenaam...There's people who can run really good, But they don't know the process of getting recognition. Most of them are not educated, I guess that's what everyone's expecting today!. One of the reason why those big country's winning all the medals, Is because they have enough people to participate In every single sport.
Country number 9 of 10 on my Caribbean island hop by air. I fly into Guyana, on the northern coast of South America. Then disaster happens - I break my arm and end up visiting a local hospital. Stitched up and in a sling, I still manage to see some of the sights of Georgetown, Guyana's colourful capital city.
Guyana Travel Video Guide: Guyana is now the third-smallest country in South America after Suriname and Uruguay. The name Guyana (from Arawak Wayana) means "Land of many waters." It is related to the name Uruguay: River of the colorful birds, another country in South America. Described by its own tourism association as 'Conradian' and 'raw,' Guyana is a densely forested country with a dark reputation of political instability and interethnic tension. While politics aren't making things brighter, underneath the headlines of corruption and economic mismanagement is a joyful and motivated mix of people who are trying to bring the spectacular natural attributes of this country to their full ecotourism potential. Viewing Guyana through a tourist eyes. Parvati dips her hands In little of Guyana culture, Discovering the gem of Kaieteur Falls, Venturing deep In the jungle, Before making her way to a Makushi Amerindian family for her lodging, Where she met the most wonderful people ever. I wish my own people would see their country through a tourist view, Instead of only the negative side - Therefore you're never able to open up and see the gem others see. To you Guyanese living abroad, Observe how a total stranger could enjoy a country, A country that It's own people would sit and talk bad about. Guyana holds the best memories of my life, I cannot throw that away for the reasons that causes you to hate my country. Parvati's so cute, I adore how she love my country.

We thank you for the kool aid, reverend Jim
We´re glad to leave behind their world of sin
Our lifeless bodies fall on holy groundRotting flesh, a sacrificial mound
Were you our god or a man in a play
Who took our applause and forced us zo stay
Now all together we lived as we died
On your command by your side
Guyana in the Cult of the Damned
Give us your word for the grand final stand
Guyana in the Cult of the Damned
Give us your word for the grand final stand
In the Cult of the Damned we all worked the land
Too afraid to look up we all feared his hand
Hurry my children there isn´t much time
But we´ll read again on the other side
Be good to the children and old people first
Hand them a drink they´re dying of thirst
Bigfoot Bigfoot thrown in a well
Pulled under water screaming like hell
He told us life was just a hotel
Time to check out when he rang the bell
