Квемо Картли (Борчалы)
Историческая область Картли состоит из двух частей - Шида и Квемо Картли.
Квемо Карлтли - южная часть Картли. На азербайджанском языке имеет также и название название Борчалы. После разделения грузинского царства в 1490 г. картлийское царство перешло на борьбу за свою независимость. Непрерывные войны и сражения стали причиной массового истребления коренного населения. Опустевшие места начали занимать представители соседних Картли этносов. Таким образом Грузия, и конкретно Картли, стала Родиной многих этносов, и в первую очередь родиной азербайджанского и осетинского народов, которые проживают на тер. региона еще с второй половины средневековья, где они обрели свою вторую родину. Квемо Картли (южная часть Картли) помимо своего названия получила и новое название - Борчалы, а северная часть Шида Картли стала называться с 19 века Южной Осетией. Центральные части Шида и Квемо Картли представители осетинской общественности начали именовать Триалетской Осетией, подразумевая осетинские поселения в региона. Таким образом, вся Картли стала родиной этих народов, которые дали региону свои названия. Но несмотря на многообразие названий, регион все же сохранил свое историческое название - Картли.
Квемо Картли имеет статус "мхаре" Грузии и состоит из одного города и 6 муниципалитетов.
Коренное картлийское население в основном осталось всего лишь в центральной части Картли. В северной части Шида Картли они проживали вместе с осетинским населением до 2008 г.
В Квемо Картли проживают они вместе с азербайджанцами, для которых Квемо Картли стала уже родиной.

Arian Kartli (Aryan-Kartli; Georgian: არიან-ქართლი) was a country claimed by the medieval Georgian chronicle "The Conversion of Kartli" (მოქცევაჲ ქართლისაჲ, mokc'evay k'art'lisay) to be the earlier homeland of the Georgians of Kartli (Iberia, central and eastern Georgia).
The Georgian Chronicles relate the story of Alexander the Great's campaign into inner Georgia. Alexander reportedly brought Azoy (Azo), the son of the unnamed "king of Arian-Kartli", together with followers, to Mtskheta, principal city of Kartli, and charged him with the administration of Kartli in his absence. The 11th-century Georgian monk Arsen, the author of metaphrastical reduction of "The life of St. Nino" and tutor of King David IV of Georgia, comments on this passage: "We, Georgians, are descendants of the newcomers from Arian-Kartli, we speak their language and all the kings of Kartli are descendents of their kings".
The word "Aryan" (Noble) comes from the ancient Indian language called Sanskrit suggesting the connection to Indo-Aryans. (Arian Kartli/Aryan Kartli) and Classical sources scholars have inferred that this land lay within the orbit of Achaemenid Empire. Herodotus' list of the Achaemenid provinces, which places the proto-Georgian tribes within the 13th and 19th satrapies, is significant in this regard. These territories correspond to the historical Georgian southwest where a number scholars place Aryan Kartli.
The early Georgian kingdom of Kartli/Iberia, which clearly emerges in historical accounts of Hellenistic period, seems to have shared the Iranian bonds of Arian Kartli

Kartli
Kartli (Georgian: ქართლი [kʰartʰli]) is a historical region in central-to-eastern Georgia traversed by the river Mtkvari (Kura), on which Georgia's capital, Tbilisi, is situated. Known to the Classical authors as Iberia, Kartli played a crucial role in the ethnic and political consolidation of the Georgians in the Middle Ages. Kartli had no strictly defined boundaries and they significantly fluctuated in the course of history. After the partition of the kingdom of Georgia in the 15th century, Kartli became a separate kingdom with its capital at Tbilisi. The historical lands of Kartli are currently divided among several administrative regions of Georgia.
The Georgians living in the historical lands of Kartli are known as Kartleli (ქართლელი) and comprise one of the largest geographic subgroups of the Georgian people. Most of them are Eastern Orthodox Christians adhering to the national Georgian Orthodox Church and speak a dialect, which is the basis of the modern Georgian literary language.

Total war
Total war is warfare that includes any and all civilian-associated resources and infrastructure as legitimate military targets, and typically involves the use of weapons and tactics that result in significant civilian or other non-combatant casualties, whether collateral damage or not. American-English Dictionary defines "total war" as "war that is unrestricted in terms of the weapons used, the territory or combatants involved, or the objectives pursued, especially one in which the laws of war are disregarded." The term can also be applied when the war effort requires significant sacrifices by most of the friendly civilian population.
In the mid-19th century, scholars identified "total war" as a separate class of warfare. In a total war, to an extent inapplicable to less total conflicts, the differentiation between combatants and non-combatants diminishes and even sometimes vanishes entirely as opposing sides can consider nearly every human resource, even that of non-combatants, as nevertheless part of the war effort.

Квемо Картли (Борчалы)
Историческая область Картли состоит из двух частей - Шида и Квемо Картли.
Квемо Карлтли - южная часть Картли. На азербайджанском языке имеет также и название название Борчалы. После разделения грузинского царства в 1490 г. картлийское царство перешло на борьбу за свою независимость. Непрерывные войны и сражения стали причиной массового истребления коренного населения. Опустевшие места начали занимать представители соседних Картли этносов. Таким образом Грузия, и конкретно Картли, стала Родиной многих этносов, и в первую очередь родиной азербайджанского и осетинского народов, которые проживают на тер. региона еще с второй половины средневековья, где они обрели свою вторую родину. Квемо Картли (южная часть Картли) помимо своего названия получила и новое название - Борчалы, а северная часть Шида Картли стала называться с 19 века Южной Осетией. Центральные части Шида и Квемо Картли представители осетинской общественности начали именовать Триалетской Осетией, подразумевая осетинские поселения в региона. Таким образом, вся Картли стала родиной этих народов, которые дали региону свои названия. Но несмотря на многообразие названий, регион все же сохранил свое историческое название - Картли.
Квемо Картли имеет статус "мхаре" Грузии и состоит из одного города и 6 муниципалитетов.
Коренное картлийское население в основном осталось всего лишь в центральной части Картли. В северной части Шида Картли они проживали вместе с осетинским населением до 2008 г.
В Квемо Картли проживают они вместе с азербайджанцами, для которых Квемо Картли стала уже родиной.

Arian Kartli (Aryan-Kartli; Georgian: არიან-ქართლი) was a country claimed by the medieval Georgian chronicle "The Conversion of Kartli" (მოქცევაჲ ქართლისაჲ, mokc'evay k'art'lisay) to be the earlier homeland of the Georgians of Kartli (Iberia, central and eastern Georgia).
The Georgian Chronicles relate the story of Alexander the Great's campaign into inner Georgia. Alexander reportedly brought Azoy (Azo), the son of the unnamed "king of Arian-Kartli", together with followers, to Mtskheta, principal city of Kartli, and charged him with the administration of Kartli in his absence. The 11th-century Georgian monk Arsen, the author of metaphrastical reduction of "The life of St. Nino" and tutor of King David IV of Georgia, comments on this passage: "We, Georgians, are descendants of the newcomers from Arian-Kartli, we speak their language and all the kings of Kartli are descendents of their kings".
The word "Aryan" (Noble) comes from the ancient Indian language called Sanskrit suggesting the connection to Indo-Aryans. (Arian Kartli/Aryan Kartli) and Classical sources scholars have inferred that this land lay within the orbit of Achaemenid Empire. Herodotus' list of the Achaemenid provinces, which places the proto-Georgian tribes within the 13th and 19th satrapies, is significant in this regard. These territories correspond to the historical Georgian southwest where a number scholars place Aryan Kartli.
The early Georgian kingdom of Kartli/Iberia, which clearly emerges in historical accounts of Hellenistic period, seems to have shared the Iranian bonds of Arian Kartli

Following the Russian Revolution in 1917, Georgia obtained independence, though only briefly, and established its first-ever republic under German and British protection, only to be invaded by Soviet Russia in 1921 and subsequently absorbed into the Soviet Union as the Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic.

1. Georgia - the name comes from the central region of Georgia from Kartli, known as Iberia. The name is based on the ancient Persian definition of Georgians vrkan / gurgan, which means "country of wolves".
2. Iberian kingdom was created in Eastern Georgia in the 4th century BC. The King of Iberia Parnavaz is connected with the creation of a Georgian script. The live culture of three species of Georgian alphabet is third in the list of UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage.
3. In Georgia, 80 km from Tbilisi, a new sensational revelation was made to the archaeological world in Dmanisi in 1991. The fragments of human skeletons were found of about 1 800,000 years old. This is the earliest human remains discovered in Europe. The Georgian scientists called them Zezva and Mzia.
4. The UNESCO World Heritage List, which has been created within the Convention on the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Values, currently has 1052 monuments, including 4 monuments of cultural heritage of Georgia, these are: Historical monuments of Mtskheta, Bagrati cathedral and Gelati monastery complex and Zemo Svaneti.
5. Georgian traditional cuisine is one of the richest in the world. Khachapuri, khinkali, Mtsvadi, beans, fish, pickles and various sauces are widely spread in Georgia. Georgia is also well-known for Georgian wine.
6. In 1945 Iliko Sulikhishvili together with Nino Ramishvili founded the State Academic Ensemble of Folk Dance of Georgia, which introduced the world's ancient and richest history and culture.
7. On the 26th of May every year the Georgian national holiday is marked as a sign of restoration of the state independence of Georgia from the Russian Empire and the USSR. On April 9, 1991, the act of restoration of state independence was declared and the independence from the USSR was declared, but the Independence Day is to be celebrated on 26 May 1918 as a national holiday.
8. In August 2008 Russia launched an open aggression against Georgia, citing protection of peaceful citizens of South Ossetia. As a result of this war Georgia lost Kodori Gorge, Liakhvi Gorge and Akhalgori district, which is called Upper Abkhazia.
9. More than 730 species of mineral water are available in Georgia, which are used for balneology purposes and industrial casting. The unique features of thermal and mineral waters are known from ancient times - local residents used to treat various diseases. Many thermal and mineral sources are found in resort zones.
10. On March 8, 2017, the European Union Council (N539 / 2001) regulation of the Council of Europe was published, according to which Georgia has moved to the list of countries with visa-free regime. Accordingly, from March 28, 2017, citizens of Georgia who possess a biometric passport will be able to travel to EU / Schengen countries without a visa.
