I've always been very interested in North Korea because it seemed to be one of the most unique and mysterious countries in the whole world. This is my day to day life throughout the 7 days that I spent in North Korea. You can never be sure whether things were staged or not in North Korea because you are only shown what they want you to see. You can't choose where or when you will be going to specific places, they simply tell you to hop on a bus and ask you to get off at one point or another. That is why I didn't want to offer my opinion about whether things were staged or not, whether they were good or not, or honest or not. My goal was to show you what my day to day life looked like when I was there and let you make up your own mind and judge for yourself. Do not judge North Korea only ...

Many people are asking about the technological developments in North Korea. About their knowledge of computers and the use of other electronic goods. North Korea today is different from North Korea before, now they are more open to technological developments. You can find some electronic and computer stores in Pyongyang city, and when you buy a computer or notebook then you will get it without a LAN port. The LAN port is removed, therefore we can not connect the notebook we bought with a LAN cable. In this video, I followed my friend bought a Notebook's charger adapter at an electronics store in Pyongyang, North Korea. The store also sells various items such as televisions, washing machine, refrigerator, DSLR Cameras, External Hard Disk, USB memory, Notebook, and others. ================...
Would you invest in North Korea? The first thing that comes to mind when thinking about North Korea is its unpredictability. Well, as the regime seeks much-needed foreign investment, some adventurous businessmen have identified some opportunities. Arirang News′ Hwang Sung-hee takes a look at how the world′s most closed economy is trying to make money. Its constant military provocations, threats and dangerous brinkmanship over its nuclear program make North Korea the least attractive place for business. But some say the regime is opening up to draw much-needed foreign investment, for example, in tourism. "There is now a growing trade in tourism from the Netherlands to North Korea. So the North Korean government is now inviting Dutch students to go to Pyongyang to give Dutch language lesson...

RT takes an exclusive look at North Korea, the world’s most closed-off country. Life here is isolated from the outside world and every aspect of existence is regulated by order of the "Great Leader", from the art you’re allowed to see, the books you can read, even to your hairstyle. The Democratic People’s Republic of Korea is perhaps the least known country in the world today. Based on a political ideology known as ‘Juche’, the socialist government controls every source of information and the national leader, Kim Jong-un, preserves the peace and defends the state’s historical, spiritual and cultural heritage. It’s hard to overestimate the Commander-in-chief’s role in the country: his likeness adorns the streets and squares in every city and village. Through official portraits and statue...

North Korea is a nation shrouded in secrecy but, as CBS News' Christina Ruffini reports, it's flawed health care system has been brought to light.
From: http://www.cnn.com September 24, 2015 - Pyongyang, North Korea (CNN)—Of the tens of thousands of North Koreans who have fled to South Korea since the Great Famine of the late 1990's, only a rare few have ever asked to return. Kim Ryon Hui is one of them. The Pyongyang dressmaker -- turned North Korean defector -- says she is trapped in South Korea and desperate to return to her family. Before defecting in 2011, Kim lived a relatively upscale life by North Korean standards. Her husband is a doctor and the family recently received a new, larger apartment from the government. Kim in South Korea and her family in North Korea spoke to CNN about her case. Kim went to China four years ago to visit relatives and seek medical care for liver disease. She had been hospitalized for six mon...

North Korea has threatened a "preemptive and offensive nuclear strike" in response to planned joint U.S.-South Korean military exercises. CNN's Paula Hancocks has the latest.
Meet Kim Jong II, leader of North Korea - a nation imprisoned by poverty and with a population so hungry, people eat bugs and grass. Now this megalomaniacal dictator is holding the civilized world hostage with what many see as a cunning strategy of extortion, threatening to develop an arsenal of nuclear weapons. It's a strategy by which the United States has indicated it cannot abide. In a joint production between the Discovery Channel and the New York Times, go behind the headlines to discover the little-understood origins and almost-stranger-than-truth facets of this dangerous confrontation. See a side of Kim Jong Il rarely revealed - his love of slasher flicks and his affinity for prostitutes - and learn why the United States may have no other palatable option than to play ball with Kim...
Victor Cha was President George W. Bush’s top advisor on North Korea and participated in the Six-Party Talks, in which the US, Russia, China, Japan and South Korea tried to negotiate with the regime of late leader Kim Jong-il to halt North Korea’s nuclear program. The talks were unsuccessful, and North Korea’s nuclear capabilities have never been greater. In January, North Korea conducted a nuclear test for the fourth time since 2009, successfully detonating what it claimed was a hydrogen bomb. A month later, North Korea launched a satellite into orbit, violating an international ban on ballistic missile testing. The UN Security Council recently voted to enact harsh new sanctions, which prompted young leader Kim Jong-un to publicly order his military to ready their nukes for use at any ti...

For many years now North Korea has been relentlessly trying to perfect its nuclear program by conducting four nuclear tests and developing ballistic missiles that could be topped with nuclear warheads.
