Canada's main stock index closed at an all-time high on Friday thanks to strengthening oil prices and hopes of business-friendly tax cuts in the United States, while a surge in domestic jobs suggested the country's economy was picking up.
The S&P;/TSX Composite closed at 15,792.12 on Friday. The previous all-time closing high was 15,657.63. Its previous intra-day peak was 15,685.15. -
