Passengers' terror as British Airways jet slides off runway in Denmark in snowy conditions

Dramatic pictures have emerged of a British Airways passenger jet that slid off a runway in snowy conditions.

The aircraft, an A319 with 67 passengers on board, which took off from Heathrow Airport this morning, overshot the tarmac at Billund in Denmark.

One passenger on board, Stephen Hughes, posted pictures of the stricken aircraft to Twitter.

The IT engineer from Glasgow told MailOnline Travel that no one was hurt.

BA said: ‘The aircraft landed safely, and customers disembarked using steps after a technical issue on the taxiway.

‘The safety and security of our customers and crew are always our top priority.’

The plane, flight BA804, landed at Billund at around 10am this morning.
