Working for the Class: The Praxis of the Wollongong Out of Workers’ Union

Posted: June 16, 2012 in Uncategorized

The link below is to two of my articles on the Wollongong Out of Workers’ Union (WOW), an organisation of unemployed workers I took part in which fought for jobs, better benefits and improved social conditions for unemployed people and also assisted the struggles of employed workers during the 1980s. The first article is a couple of interviews with Wollongong Out Of Workers’ Union activists, conducted as part of my honours thesis research. The second is a more detailed history and analysis of  WOW based on my completed honours thesis – Working for the Class: The Praxis of the Wollongong Out of Workers’ Union.
