The Bombay Chef Varun Inamdar is here to give you the first lesson on basic cooking. With the chef learn how to chop and slice onions in multiple ways. We are sure you'll start cutting onions like a pro after watching the video. So watch and learn different styles of chopping an onion only on Rajshri Food.
- Onion
- A Sharp Knife
- Cutting Board
- Tissue Paper
- Water
Method
- Place a tissue paper on table and splash some water over it
- Place the cutting board over the wet tissue
- Hold the onion with thumb on one side and rest of the fingers to the other side.
- Cut it in between with a sharp knife
- Slice off the root & top of of the onion and peel the onions
- Place onion into water
- Wash the onions properly
Vertical Slicing
- Keep the cut surface facing towards the board.
- Make fine cuts from one side to another, gradually.
-Keep the knife moving.
- Keep your fingers safe.
- When you reach the end of the onion, twist it , push it down and continue slicing it.
Horizontal Slicing
- Turn it round and start cutting the onion from top to bottom
Chopping
- Use the tip of knife and cut the onion from side to side
- Now hold the onion and turn it and start cutting horizontally
- Make even and close cuts
Dicing
- Cut onions into thick slices – some where around half cm thick ( for small dice ) a centimeter and half thick ( for medium slice ) cut half onion into 3 ( for large slice ).
- Turn the angle and continue slicing horizontally
- Run your fingers through it and release all the petals
Petals
-Take half onion and cut it into two
- Pick it up and release the petals
Roundels
- Place onion side ways and slice off the cap and root
- Peel off the onion skin and wash it
- Turn the onion side ways, give an in-cession and press it downwards
- Thinness and thickness can be adjusted
- You can even release the rings

System of a Down
System of a Down, often shortened to SOAD or System, is a four-piece Armenian-American rock band formed in 1994 in Glendale, California, in the United States. The band currently consists of Serj Tankian (lead vocals, keyboards), Daron Malakian (vocals, guitar), Shavo Odadjian (bass, backing vocals) and John Dolmayan (drums).
The band achieved commercial success with the release of five studio albums, three of which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200. System of a Down has been nominated for four Grammy Awards, and their song "B.Y.O.B." won the Best Hard Rock Performance of 2006. The group went on hiatus in August 2006 and reunited in November 2010, embarking on a tour for the following three years. System of a Down has sold over 40 million records worldwide.
History
Soil (1992–1994)
Serj Tankian and Daron Malakian attended Rose and Alex Pilibos Armenian School as children, although due to their eight-year age difference they did not meet until 1992 while working on separate projects at the same recording studio. They formed a band named Soil with Tankian on vocals and keyboards, Malakian on vocals and guitar, Dave Hakopyan (who later played in The Apex Theory/Mt. Helium) on bass and Domingo "Dingo" Laranio on drums. The band hired Shavo Odadjian (another Rose and Alex Pilibos alumnus) as manager, although he eventually joined Soil as rhythm guitarist. In 1994, after only one live show, and one jam session recording, Hakopyan and Laranio left the band, feeling that it was not going anywhere.

Grand Theft Auto V
Grand Theft Auto V is an open world, action-adventure video game developed by Rockstar North and published by Rockstar Games. It was released on 17 September 2013 for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, on 18 November 2014 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and on 14 April 2015 for Microsoft Windows. The game is the first main entry in the Grand Theft Auto series since 2008's Grand Theft Auto IV. Set within the fictional state of San Andreas, based on Southern California, the single-player story follows three criminals and their efforts to commit heists while under pressure from a government agency. The open world design lets players freely roam San Andreas's open countryside and fictional city of Los Santos, based on Los Angeles.
The game is played from either a first-person or third-person view and its world is navigated on foot or by vehicle. Players control the three lead protagonists throughout single-player and switch between them both during and outside of missions. The story is centred on the heist sequences, and many missions involve shooting and driving gameplay. A "wanted" system governs the aggression of law enforcement response to players who commit crimes. Grand Theft Auto Online, the online multiplayer mode, lets up to 30 players explore the open world and engage in cooperative or competitive game matches.

- Onion
- A Sharp Knife
- Cutting Board
- Tissue Paper
- Water
Method
- Place a tissue paper on table and splash some water over it
- Place the cutting board over the wet tissue
- Hold the onion with thumb on one side and rest of the fingers to the other side.
- Cut it in between with a sharp knife
- Slice off the root & top of of the onion and peel the onions
- Place onion into water
- Wash the onions properly
Vertical Slicing
- Keep the cut surface facing towards the board.
- Make fine cuts from one side to another, gradually.
-Keep the knife moving.
- Keep your fingers safe.
- When you reach the end of the onion, twist it , push it down and continue slicing it.
Horizontal Slicing
- Turn it round and start cutting the onion from top to bottom
Chopping
- Use the tip of knife and cut the onion from side to side
- Now hold the onion and turn it and start cutting horizontally
- Make even and close cuts
Dicing
- Cut onions into thick slices – some where around half cm thick ( for small dice ) a centimeter and half thick ( for medium slice ) cut half onion into 3 ( for large slice ).
- Turn the angle and continue slicing horizontally
- Run your fingers through it and release all the petals
Petals
-Take half onion and cut it into two
- Pick it up and release the petals
Roundels
- Place onion side ways and slice off the cap and root
- Peel off the onion skin and wash it
- Turn the onion side ways, give an in-cession and press it downwards
- Thinness and thickness can be adjusted
- You can even release the rings

The Bombay Chef Varun Inamdar is here to give you the first lesson on basic cooking. With the chef learn how to chop and slice onions in multiple ways. We are sure you'll start cutting onions like a pro after watching the video. So watch and learn different styles of chopping an onion only on Rajshri Food.
- Onion
- A Sharp Knife
- Cutting Board
- Tissue Paper
- Water
Method
- Place a tissue paper on table and splash some water over it
- Place the cutting board over the wet tissue
- Hold the onion with thumb on one side and rest of the fingers to the other side.
- Cut it in between with a sharp knife
- Slice off the root & top of of the onion and peel the onions
- Place onion into water
- Wash the onions properly
Vertical Slicing
- Keep the cut surface facing towards the board.
- Make fine cuts from one side to another, gradually.
-Keep the knife moving.
- Keep your fingers safe.
- When you reach the end of the onion, twist it , push it down and continue slicing it.
Horizontal Slicing
- Turn it round and start cutting the onion from top to bottom
Chopping
- Use the tip of knife and cut the onion from side to side
- Now hold the onion and turn it and start cutting horizontally
- Make even and close cuts
Dicing
- Cut onions into thick slices – some where around half cm thick ( for small dice ) a centimeter and half thick ( for medium slice ) cut half onion into 3 ( for large slice ).
- Turn the angle and continue slicing horizontally
- Run your fingers through it and release all the petals
Petals
-Take half onion and cut it into two
- Pick it up and release the petals
Roundels
- Place onion side ways and slice off the cap and root
- Peel off the onion skin and wash it
- Turn the onion side ways, give an in-cession and press it downwards
- Thinness and thickness can be adjusted
- You can even release the rings
