Lena Dunham bares midriff in crop top tracksuit after discussing her Trump diet again and how she 'drops weight with every move he makes'

Lena Dunham attended a photo call in New York City Friday after again discussing how she's been shedding pounds en masse since Donald Trump's shocking election victory over Hillary Clinton.

On the outing, Lena, 30, wore an anchor grey sweatsuit with black stripes running along the waist and the middle of the leg, with a black tank top with a red stripe and black shoes.

The Girls star, who wore large hoop earrings, had her dark auburn locks in bangs up front, and tied into tails in the back.

Her appearance at the Build Studio came on the heels of an appearance on The View in which she told the ABC panel, 'I’ve been losing tons of weight ever since Trump got elected; in fact, I drop weight with every move he makes.

'By the time his whole cabinet gets confirmed, I’ll be down to my goal weight, which is my birth weight, 8 pounds.'

The Emmy-nominated star earlier this week opened up on her politically-fueled weight loss during a Howard Stern appearance.

'I know that the right-wing media had a field day with that and said, ‘Liberal So Weakened That She Can’t Eat Food Because of Donald Trump,’ but what I was trying to express is this has been triggering for many of us in so many different way,' the outspoken HBO star said. 'And I know that if I’m not hungry, then we have a real freakin’ problem.'

In the appearance, Joy Behar praised Lena for breaking Hollywood body image norms with her parade of sex scenes in various states of undress on her hit comedy Girls, as a 'normal-looking girl' without the super-slim look traditionally championed in Tinseltown.

Lena admitted the road wasn't always easy, as she had 'a very rude awakening' at the way people initially reacted to her sex scenes on the show. (Stern, in 2013, called Dunham 'a little fat girl who kind of looks like Jonah Hill,' adding, she 'keeps taking her clothes off and it kind of feels like rape' to watch. The shock jock walked back his remarks shortly thereafter.)

'It’s interesting because you can be, as you said, a normal-looking girl, and when you move into the realm of Hollywood that, in and of itself, shocks people,' she told the panel. 'The fact that I’m considered "plus size" or an example of a completely unorthodox body, I have to admit, it was a very rude awakening the first time I saw people’s reaction to the show.

'I was like, "I thought I was pretty bangin’."'

Dunham credited her parents, Carroll Dunham and Laurie Simmons, for imbuing her with a positive body image early on in life.

'My parents always let me know that difference was a beautiful thing,' she said, 'and there wasn’t a one-size-fits-all.'

Dunham, an ardent Clinton supporter who campaigned on behalf of the Democratic nominee, said last April she had planned on relocating to Canada if Trump was elected.

'I know a lovely place in Vancouver, and I can get my work done from there,' she told Andy Cohen at the Matrix Awards, a ceremony to honor female standouts in the communications industry. 'I know a lot of people have been threatening to do this, but I really will.' (Trump, in a Fox & Friends appearance, responded in saying of Dunham: 'Well, she's a B-actor and, you know, has no mojo.')

The Golden Globe winner later took back the remarks in the wake of Trump's win, as she said she was 'willing to try' to make things work despite Trump's oval office presence.

'I can survive staying in this country, MY country, to fight and live and use my embarrassment of blessings to do what’s right,' she said in an Instagram post.
