'Are you being watched?': Emma Watson and Tom Hanks deal with the dark side of technology in new trailer for The Circle
Movie fans on Thursday got the latest peak at The Circle, a new thriller featuring Emma Watson and Tom Hanks focused on Silicon Valley.
The film, which is adapted from author Dave Eggers' 2013 novel, tells the story of Mae Holland (Watson), who goes to work for a behemoth tech company whose eccentric founder Eamon Bailey is played by the multiple Oscar-winner Hanks.
In the clip, Bailey is seen giving a keynote speech in front of an auditorium of employees, akin to the late Apple founder Steve Jobs.

'I am a believer in the perfectibility of human beings, when we are our best selves, there isn't a problem we cannot solve ... the possibilities are endless,' Bailey says to a rousing ovation.
Emma is seen overjoyed to be hired into the progressive company, but small indicators begin to illustrate that things are not all what they seem as she climbs the ranks of the tech corporation: as her superiors passively press her about her absence at company events, they reveal their intricate knowledge of her life, including her father's private medical information.
She's eventually spurred by Bailey to participate in an experiment that compromises her privacy, personal relationships and much more.

'So Mae, do you think you behave better or worse when you are being watched?' Bailey is heard asking Mae.
As the preview goes on, it's clear that Mae might be in over her head, but has at least one sympathetic co-worker, Kalden (John Boyega), who doesn't seem to toe the company line.
