Swansea 2-0 Leicester: Mawson and Olsson on scoresheet

SWANSEA CITY 2-0 LEICESTER CITY - RIATH AL-SAMARRAI AT THE LIBERTY STADIUM: Despite similar positions in the Premier League table, the form of Swansea and Leicester could not be different... the former are flying, and the champions are dropping like a stone. Here, first-half goals from defenders Alfie Mawson and Martin Olsson secured three more points for Swansea to move them above their opponents and four points clear of the relegation zone. Leicester, meanwhile - who also have FA Cup and Champions League campaigns to consider - are now 17th and just one point ahead of 18th-placed Hull City.

Burnley 1-1 Chelsea report: Brady strike halts leaders

MARTIN SAMUEL AT TURF MOOR: It would be rather unfair to suggest, after this, that Antonio Conte’s Chelsea team cannot do it in the snow at Burnley. Credit instead should go to Sean Dyche and his players. In resisting the Champions elect, they were quite outstanding.

Leicester were defeated 2-0 by Swansea on Sunday at the Liberty Stadium, leaving them 17th in the Premier League table, just one point above the relegation zone with 13 games remaining.

NEW Claudio Ranieri has made the damning promise to axe the players who won the league for Leicester, insisting they have blown their last chance after falling within one point of the relegation zone.

IAN LADYMAN AT TURF MOOR: First impressions suggested an afternoon of stereotypes. Rain turning to snow, biting cold. In the Burnley team there was only one player from outside the British Isles.

ANALYSIS: How Burnley were able to contain rampant Chelsea

ADAM SHERGOLD - TACTICAL ANALYSIS: When Pedro fired Chelsea into a seventh-minute lead at Turf Moor, it was beginning to look like a very long afternoon for Burnley. But they learned their lessons and defended brilliantly for the remainder of the game. Indeed, that goal was Chelsea's last shot on target in the entire game as the Clarets displayed remarkable discipline and commitment to earn a well-deserved point.

Outrage as Ajax vice-captain Veltman uses injured team mate as a decoy to deceive Sparta Rotterdam defender

Whether sportsmanship still exists in football is a topic that will always inspire debate, but it appears to be well and truly dead in the Eredivisie. Ajax centre-back Joel Veltman demonstrated this in their league clash with Sparta Rotterdam by shamelessly taking advantage of opposition goodwill to try and create an opportunity. In a video going viral on Twitter from Sunday's game, Veltman picks the ball up on the right wing and immediately looks as though he wants to stop play because team mate Bertrand Traore is lying injured on the floor.

Robbie Brady, who was making his full debut for Burnley after signing from Norwich for £13million, scored a brilliant curling free-kick in the 24th minute to cancel out Pedro's early opener for Chelsea.

Chelsea boss Antonio Conte paid tribute to Burnley despite his obvious disappointment after seeing his Premier League title-chasers held to a 1-1 draw at Turf Moor.

Former Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson predicted Jesse Lingard would break into the first team before the age of 23 and the legendary Scotsman proved to be right.

Former Rangers manager Alex McLeish has admitted he would find it difficult to turn down the opportunity to succeed the sacked Mark Warburton due to his close connection with the club.

The 35-year-old arrived to much fanfare in the summer and has lived up to the hype, having already become the first United player to score 20 goals in a season since Sir Alex Ferguson retired.

Wales 16-21 England: Report

SAM PETERS AT PRINCIPALITY STADIUM: Elliot Daly was England’s try-scoring hero as Eddie Jones’ men left it late for the second week running to maintain their unbeaten run by the skin of their teeth. With his side trailing 16-14 with barely three minutes on the clock, the England left winger took advantage of Jonathan Davies missed touch to score a sensational try down the left hand side which broke Wales hearts.

Hogg scored one of two Scottish tries, but five penalties from Camille Lopez, including two in the final 10 minutes, saw the hosts over the line in a hard-fought Six Nations clash.

Flanker CJ Stander and wing Craig Gilroy both claimed trebles as Ireland racked up a record Six Nations win over the Azzurri, a nine-try 63-10 demolition at the Stadio Olimpico on Saturday.

England made it 16 victories on the bounce, putting them three short of overtaking New Zealand's world-record figure, as wing Elliot Daly's 75th-minute try broke Welsh hearts.

'Hero' gets in the way of football to save young supporter

Regardless of the result on Sunday, there was one real winner during Burnley vs Chelsea... and he didn't even step foot on the pitch. Proving himself to be a hero in front of millions watching on TV, a home supporter saved a young fan from being hit in the face by a flying football. With 19 minutes on the clock, Ashley Barnes send an effort wide of the target, and the powerful shot looked destined to strike a child in the face before the intervention.

MATT BARLOW AND ROB DRAPER: Arsene Wenger has denied he is ready to quit Arsenal insisting that Ian Wright had misinterpreted a chat over dinner last Thursday while at The Emirates.

OLIVER HOLT: If it really is all coming to an end, if this really is the season when Arsene Wenger says there will be no more and turns down the offer of a new contract then some supporters will have won.

Germaine De Randamie beats Holly Holm at UFC 208

Boos rang out around the Barclays Centre in Brooklyn as Germaine De Randamie became the first UFC women's featherweight champion after five rounds of action with Holly Holm in the main event of UFC 208. De Randamie countered well with her powerful right hand in the first and second rounds but appeared to hit former bantamweight champion Holm after the bell at the end of the second. The 17-year-old was fined $7,000 (£5,623) by the International Tennis Federation. Gabas was taken to Ottawa General Hospital after the incident, and no damage to the cornea or retina was found. But upon his return to France, a further examination revealed Gabas had sustained a fracture.

They've been the most dominant club in the Premier League era and Manchester United made more history this weekend. A 2-0 win over Watford means they've now reached 2,000 points.

ADAM CRAFTON AT THE EMIRATES STADIUM: Wenger needed his team to show some personality and put on a show. A rip-up-the-banners performance, to paraphrase Gary Neville.

Wenger's position has come under increasing scrutiny following defeats at the hands of Watford and Chelsea - with pockets of support inside the Emirates Stadium turning against their leader.

Man United news: Jose Mourinho one point off top four

MANCHESTER UNITED 2-0 WATFORD BY CHRIS WHEELER AT OLD TRAFFORD: Manchester United moved within a point of the Premier League top four as goals from Juan Mata and Anthony Martial earned a routine win over Watford. They added a second on the hour mark through Martial, who finished at the near post having been set through by Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

Ozil joined by mystery brunette as Arsenal stars head out

Mesut Ozil left swanky London restaurant Novikov alongside a mystery brunette on Saturday night... but much of the focus was on the interesting fashion style of one of his Arsenal team-mates instead. Santi Cazorla has been sidelined since October with an ankle injury, and appeared alongside his Arsenal pals this weekend wearing just one trainer. Seemingly due to his injured right ankle, the 32-year-old Spaniard winced as he arrived at the restaurant wearing a Puma flip-flop, followed closely by Nacho Monreal.

Bale hands Real Madrid boost as he returns to training

Bale has not played since November because of ankle surgery, but Real Madrid tweeted a photograph of the 27-year-old training at their headquarters on Sunday. Arsenal news: Alexis Sanchez scores controversial goal

ARSENAL 2-0 HULL CITY BY MATT BARLOW AT THE EMIRATES STADIUM: When Arsene Wenger required a helping hand he knew he could rely on Alexis Sanchez. Sanchez scored twice for Arsenal to apply the soothing balm of a victory against Hull and end the mini-slump which had been making life so uncomfortable for Wenger. It was not a vintage display of fluent football by any means.

Liverpool FC news: Jurgen Klopp back to winning ways

LIVERPOOL 2-0 TOTTENHAM BY ROB DRAPER AT ANFIELD: More than a month after Anfield last roared with hope, their team returned in triumph last night. On New Year's Eve, back in 2016, they were gearing up for a title challenge here when they beat Manchester City.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp was forced to admit the importance of Sadio Mane to his side after the Senegal forward marked his first start at Anfield this year with a match-winning double to sink Spurs 2-0.

Defender Andy Robertson said referee Mark Clattenburg apologised to Hull's players for allowing Alexis Sanchez's controversial opener in the 2-0 defeat at Arsenal.

JACK GAUGHAN AT OLD TRAFFORD: Even amid a season of indifference, Anthony Martial's value to Manchester United is made evident by those who pay to watch.

Bayern Munich's Thiago Alcantara is ready for Arsenal

EXCLUSIVE INTERVIEW - ROB DRAPER, CHIEF FOOTBALL WRITER: When your father is a World Cup winner, you would think it would be hard to make your mark. And when Brazilian superstars Romario and Bebeto were casual visitors to your childhood home, you might think the prospect of matching them a little overwhelming. Thiago Alcantara, son of Brazil midfielder Mazinho, never quite saw it that way. Perched on a stool at Bayern Munich's famous Sabener Strasse training ground as he reflects on his childhood in near-perfect English, despite the fact he has never lived in the UK, it easy to see how he became Pep Guardiola's favourite player; and why Arsenal might wish to pay him extra attention at the Allianz Arena on Wednesday. 'Thiago oder nichts' were among Guardiola's first ever words in German when he took over at Bayern Munich in 2013. By which he meant that he wanted the club to sign Thiago from Barcelona and, if they couldn't get him, they needn't bother with anyone else.

Crotone 0-2 Roma: Spalletti's side see off strugglers

Goals from Radja Nainggolan and Edin Dzeko helped Roma see off Crotone 2-0 away in Serie A on Sunday.  Luciano Spalletti's side made light of a first-half missed penalty to move second above Napoli and provisionally close the gap to league leaders Juventus. Nainggolan lashed past Alex Cordaz from a tight angle in the 40th minute after being picked out by Mohamed Salah as the visitors edged a first half in which they had only hinted at their wealth of attacking quality.

Hull manager Marco Silva claimed his side can avoid the drop despite the defeat against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium which leaves them in the bottom three of the Premier League.

Antonio Valencia on his rise to Manchester United stardom

EXCLUSIVE: Pre-season at Manchester United and Jose Mourinho pulls Antonio Valencia to one side. 'It was one of our first conversations,' revealed Valencia this week. 'He said, "When I was coach at Real Madrid, I wanted to sign you as my right back but United said no". It was great to hear because every player needs the coach's trust. For me it was a big moment.' Valencia's season has not been short of big moments. It was not long ago that many thought the 31-year-old was on his way out of Old Trafford. He feared it, too. New attacking players had been bought and it seemed the Ecuadorean's race was run.

Rangers 2-1 Morton: Miller and Waghorn rescue win

RANGERS 2-1 MORTON: The Govan club was rocked by news of boss Mark Warburton's resignation late on Friday night with confusion following when the club statement announcing his departure was reportedly denied by the Englishman. Under-20s boss Graeme Murty was placed in temporary charge for the visit of the Championship side but the Gers supporters were further stunned when Michael Tidser fired the Greenock men ahead in the seventh minute with a fine volley.

Ben Foster, who conceded goals to Sofiane Feghouli and Manuel Lanzini during Saturday's 2-2 draw, has been a consistent figure in a team that so far this season has performed unexpectedly well.

Sources at the club say the growing frustration from Arsenal fans affects him greatly and some were sure he was going to quit at the end of the 2013-14 season but for the FA Cup win against Hull.

The Seagulls knew a win would send them above previous leaders Newcastle, who are in action at Wolves in the evening kick-off, and they got the perfect start at the Amex Stadium.

The Cherries enjoyed a strong start to their second campaign in the Premier League and were as high as ninth in the table at the turn of the year, but the are without a league victory so far in 2017.

Crystal Palace defender James Tomkins has emphasised the belief there is in the camp that the club will get out of trouble under Sam Allardyce.

Lewandowski on steak for breakfast and bets with Klopp

DOMINIC KING IN MUNICH: What if? Robert Lewandowski has no cause for regret in his stunning career but, from time to time, he asks himself that question and starts to wonder. Here he is, sitting in a studio at Bayern Munich's training base, looking every inch a world-class striker. His frame is greyhound sleek but his physique ripples. Lewandowski is trained to the minute and relishing the opportunity to tear into Arsenal in the Champions League on Wednesday. The prospect of Lewandowski playing in England has always stirred the soul, the quality that has seen him plunder 106 goals in his last 146 Bundesliga games would enrich the Premier League. How would he have fared? Had nature not intervened in April 2010, he and we would know.

Barcelona FC news: Suarez, Neymar and Messi cruise to win

PETE JENSON AT MENDIZORROZA: The only positive from this 6-0 thumping for Alaves is that tormenter-in-chief Luis Suarez will not be able to face them again in the Spanish Cup final.

Celtic 6-0 Inverness: Moussa Dembele nets hat-trick

After his stunning hat-trick from the bench at St Johnstone, it was hard to see how Moussa Dembele could do much better on his first start of the year. The young Frenchman responded with his second hat-trick in six days and executed it within 14 deadly minutes - ten faster than the gap between his first and third strikes at McDiarmid Park last Sunday. A measure of Celtic’s dominance can be taken from the fact both full-backs joined the club’s top marksman on the scoresheet, while there was even a rare goal for skipper Scott Brown, who completed the rout with virtually the last thunderous kick of the ball.

But the good news for former Sevilla defender Aleix Vidal is that primary tests have shown there is no bone break and he may have only suffered ligament damage.

Eddie Howe is so concerned by Bournemouth’s woeful form that he has summoned the Army to help stave off the threat of a relegation battle.

Italy 10-63 Ireland: Stander and Gilroy score hat-tricks

RORY KEANE AT THE STADIO OLIMPICO: Italy felt the full force of an Irish backlash as Joe Schmidt's side made a powerful statement of intent with a nine-try demolition in the Eternal City. Talk of Ireland's team bus arriving late to Murrayfield prior to their 27-22 loss to the Scots dominated the build-up to this clash in Rome. There was no tardiness from Schmidt's men here at the Stadio Olympico. The fired-up visitors were first to everything in a ruthless performance with CJ Stander crossing for a hat-trick in a devastating display. The powerful South African flanker, who qualified for Ireland on residency grounds last season, has been widely tipped to tour with the Lions to New Zealand next summer. On the evidence of this display, Stander looks the form blindside in Europe and could be a key attacking weapon for Warren Gatland against the All Blacks.

Wales 16-21 England - Six Nations 2017 PLAYER RATINGS

NIK SIMON AND WILL KELLEHER AT THE PRINCIPALITY STADIUM: England left it late to beat Wales 21-16 on Saturday afternoon thanks to Elliot Daly's try right at the death of the Six Nations match. Sportsmail's Nik Simon and Will Kelleher were at the Principality Stadium to run the rule over the two sets of players.

England remained on track for a repeat Grand Slam in this season's Six Nations as they secured a dramatic victory over Wales in Cardiff. Watch full highlights of the contest here.

CJ Stander and replacement back Craig Gilroy both scored hat-tricks, while wing Keith Earls added two in the first half as Ireland secured the first ever Six Nations bonus point victory.

OLIVER HOLT AT THE PRINCIPALITY STADIUM: The Welsh build-up was magnificent and their performance was courageous and yet still England would not be beaten.

Alastair Cook still vital for England under new regime

Alastair Cook called me on Sunday to tell me in person and explain his decision to stand down as England captain. It was really nice that he called me but I have to admit I was really disappointed he had made that call because I thrived as a bowler and had some great memories playing under him as captain. I completely understand his reasons but I've really enjoyed playing under him and we've had a lot of success together down the years. I know how proud he has been to captain England and I know he has had sleepless nights over the past few weeks as he has agonised over this decision. But when he explained his reasons for standing down it made a lot of sense. He can now concentrate on going back to scoring tons of runs for England without the stress and strain of captaincy.

Francois Pienaar pays tribute to Joost van der Westhuizen

Team-mates from South Africa's 1995 World Cup winning squad carried the coffin of Joost van der Westhuizen into his memorial service on Friday in front of several hundred mourners. Who is your Premier League club's highest paid player?

With relegation to the Championship looming large for three top flight clubs, the wages of your star men can be concerning for those in charge. With that in mind, it may come as a surprise to hear that three Premier League clubs towards the bottom of the table are paying upwards of £100,000-a-week to their top player. Here, Sportsmail takes a look at who's paid what at each of the 20 Premier League clubs...

We've cropped 20 photographs of players - past and present - with tattoos and your task is to identify them all, each from four options.

Social media is a funny thing. I was bemused to see comments on Twitter this week that Kell Brook wants to swerve a fight with Errol Spence - pretty odd as he fought Gennady Golovkin.
