While rumors swirled that Beckham had actually been mugged, the Giants source explained to Page Six that that wasn't the case.

'It was basically catching him outside at the right time,' the source said.

The team source said that though Beckham was staying at a hotel in Houston, he had left a bag of belongings at a friend's house.

The home was broken into, and Beckham's bag, which had shoes, cash, jewelry and other belongings in it, was taken.

'He just had some stuff there,' the source said. 'Shoes and that sort of thing. It wasn't anything expensive - just some of his belongings.'

Local police said that Beckham had not filed a police report on the robbery.

Last night he posted a photo on Instagram of himself and a friend while wearing the Red October sneakers.

Meanwhile, Brady's game-winning number 12 jersey is still missing. It's reportedly worth $500,000.

Reports, however, suggest that it might be on a team equipment truck that was not searched before heading to Boston.

The truck, which could also have James White's game-winning football on it, was supposed to arrive in Boston and be unpacked sometime on Thursday.

Since it was revealed the jersey went missing, recovering it has been a huge concern and top priority for Texas' top law enforcement agencies and even Governor Dan Patrick.

Brady claims that he remembers placing the special jersey inside his bag, but lost track of his personal items shortly after that.
