Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR, pronunciation: /ˈsaɪ.dr/ or /ˈsi.dr/) is a method for allocating IP addresses and routing Internet Protocol packets. The Internet Engineering Task Force introduced CIDR in 1993 to replace the previous addressing architecture of classful network design in the Internet. Its goal was to slow the growth of routing tables on routers across the Internet, and to help slow the rapid exhaustion of IPv4 addresses.
IP addresses are described as consisting of two groups of bits in the address: the most significant bits are the network address (or network prefix or network block), which identifies a whole network or subnet, and the least significant set forms the host identifier, which specifies a particular interface of a host on that network. This division is used as the basis of traffic routing between IP networks and for address allocation policies. Classful network design for IPv4 sized the network address as one or more 8-bit groups, resulting in the blocks of Class A, B, or C addresses. Classless Inter-Domain Routing allocates address space to Internet service providers and end users on any address bit boundary, instead of on 8-bit segments. In IPv6, however, the interface identifier has a fixed size of 64 bits by convention, and smaller subnets are never allocated to end users.
Technical video to help with learning how to subnet. Don't worry, with enough practice - you will get this!
This lecture contains the CIDR explanation.
This video begins to explore the topic of classless networking by introducing the concept of CIDR notation and the subnet mask. Download our free Subnet Calculator and other networking tools: http://www.boson.com/download

This is designed as a quick review for people that already have at least a general understanding of IP addresses, addressing, and subnetting. This was done a while ago by request to help someone who asked about it. Hope it helps a few more out. If you're confused, ask away... as usual.
Cálculo de representação CIDR a partir do endereço IP e máscara de sub-rede. Ex: 192.100.0.1 - 255.255.255.0 para 192.100.0.1/24
I've got you under my skin
I've got you deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me
I've got you under my skin
I've tried so not to give in
I said to myself this affair won't go so well
But why should I try to resist when baby I know more
than well
I've got you under my skin
I've got you under my skin
And I've got you deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me
I've got you under my skin
I'd sacrifice anything come what might
For the sake of having you near
In spite of a warning voice that comes in the night
And repeats, repeats in my ear
Don't you know fool you can never win
Use your mentality wake to reality
But each time that I do
Just the thought of you makes me stop before I begin
'Cause I've got you under my skin
I've got you under my skin
I've got you deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me
'Cause I've got you under my skin
oooohhhh
ooohhh ooohhh
oooohhhh
ooohhh ooohhh
I've got you under my skin
I've got you deep in the heart of me
So deep in my heart that you're really a part of me
