"Danced (Live)" is the fifth UK single from the post-punk band Toyah, fronted by Toyah Willcox. Their first and only live single, it was released at the end of 1980.
All tracks from the single were recorded by ATV, for inclusion in a television documentary, and most of this concert found its way onto the album Toyah! Toyah! Toyah! that month, including "Danced". The two B-sides from the single, however, were left off the album and for years were only available here. They were later included on the 2005 compilation album The Safari Singles Collection Part 1: 1979-1981, and on the 2006 re-issue of Toyah! Toyah! Toyah!.

"We Danced" is a song co-written and recorded by American country music artist Brad Paisley. It was released in June 2000 as the fourth and final single from his debut album Who Needs Pictures. The song reached the top of the Billboard Hot Country Songs. Paisley wrote this song with Chris DuBois.
Paisley said about the song: "We had no idea at first where we were going with this song. It started out with us focusing on a guy who owns a bar. And we began with the scenario that he's there working after the bar is closed, sweeping and putting the chairs up. Then this girl comes in who's forgotten her purse. We built the rest of the song around that concept. That's my favorite way of writing a song, because you never know where it's going. You're never pigeonholed by having to get from A to B, because you don't know what B is."
The narrator of the song is closing a tavern (it is not specified whether he is a bartender or an actual owner of the tavern). An unnamed woman, who was patronizing the tavern earlier in the evening, re-enters the business explaining that she had accidentally left her purse behind. He says that he had found one and the woman claims it. They subsequently engage in conversation, in which the narrator informs the woman that he will only return her purse to her if she shares a dance with him, presumably to romantic music that he manages to play on the tavern's jukebox. They subsequently fall in love with one another and the narrator plans to propose to her. When she arrives after the tavern is closed, he proposes to her. She accepts his proposal, but not before she returns the favor by sharing a dance with him.
The Hooters are an American rock band from Philadelphia. They combined elements of rock and folk music to create their sound. The Hooters first gained major commercial success in the United States in the mid-1980s due to heavy radio airplay and MTV rotation of several songs including "All You Zombies", "Day by Day", "And We Danced" and "Where Do the Children Go". They opened the Philadelphia portion of the Live Aid benefit concert in 1985.
During the late 1980s and 1990s, The Hooters found significant commercial success internationally, especially in Europe, where they played at The Wall Concert in Berlin in 1990, before they went on hiatus in 1995.
Since reuniting in 2001, The Hooters have staged successful tours in Europe and 2007 saw the release of their first album of new material since 1993, Time Stand Still.
The Hooters were formed by Rob Hyman and Eric Bazilian in 1980 and played their first show on July 4 of that year. They took their name from a nickname for the melodica, a type of keyboard harmonica which is German in origin, created by Hohner. A friend of Eric Bazilian lent Rob Hyman a Hohner model Piano-36 which was used on their recordings, and never returned to the friend. Rob and Eric met in 1971 at the University of Pennsylvania and had played in a band in the late 1970s, based in Philadelphia, called Baby Grand, which also featured local singer, David Kagan. Baby Grand released two albums on Arista Records. In addition, producer/friend of the band Rick Chertoff also had a significant role during these album sessions, and he would later produce several Hooters albums as well.

Music video by Abba performing Dancing Queen. (C) 1976 Polar Music International AB
I love you, strange man
You had come from so far away
Talking
We were talking, well we tried
Then we danced
Laughing
We were laughing
But then we touched
I just broke
Down crying
I felt your planet so far away
Touching the love
From your distant star
The pains the troubles past
From your distant star
We've been waiting 2000 years for you to come again
Such a long, long time
Just to learn the truth
And then we
Danced
(solo)
Dance!
Dance!
Dance your life away!
Dance!
Dance!
Dance your life away!
(solo)
Dance!
Dance!
Dance your life away!
Dance!
Dance!
Dance your life away!
So far away...
I know I love you...
