Responding to enquiries is now easier and faster

Providing you with another channel to engage with potential buyers, the new Domain app feature, ‘Chat’ allows you to receive real-time leads on the go and decrease the time between enquiry and offer.

Based on the emerging mobile and messaging trends. Chat allows you to easily and quickly exchange messages, contracts and documents with prospective buyers in real time.

Domain Chat increases the speed of communication
between agent and buyers.

With Chat you can:

  • Send and receive messages to/from prospective buyers
  • Quickly and easily send documents and contracts 
  • Receive all Chat messages in the Domain app and as an email alert
  • Re-direct Chat messages to a colleague

How to activate Chat

1. Contact your Account Manager or Domain Support team
2. Download or update the Domain app and login using the same email as per your listings
You can then start chatting with property seekers!

Download the Domain App. Login with your agent email address.
Access Chat in the hamburger menu for iOS or in the top tool bar for Android.
‘Chat’ will appear alongside the ‘Call’ and ‘Email’ buttons in all your listings.
Respond to messages in the Domain App. Tap ‘+’ to send documents.

Redirect Chat

  • Login into Domain Agent Admin using your Agent Admin login details. Contact Domain Support if your require new Agent Admin logins.
  • The default Chat recipient will be the primary agent for each listing.
  • Redirect Chat to a colleague for all your listings or on an individual listing level. Just tick the ‘Redirect Chat to another agent’ box and select the chosen agent from the drop down list.

Four top Chat tips

  1. Send documents


    Speed up the paperwork and send/receive documents such as contracts, floor plans or images by tapping the ‘+’ in the Chat feature

  2. Redirect Chat


    If you are unable to respond to messages, divert Chat to your colleague through Agent Admin

  3. Email alerts


    You will receive an email alert with every Chat you receive. Unsubscribe to the email alerts by clicking ‘unsubscribe’ in the email itself.

  4. Instant notification


    Your phone will display a push notification for every Chat message you receive. Control these notifications as usual in your phone settings
