Tehran is already an exciting place to be in. This Huge metropolis becomes even more exciting when its hidden treasures and attractions are discovered and delved into. We visited the center for traditional Iranian art affiliated to Iran's culture ministry; a place where a perfect collection of exquisite and in some case forgotten artworks are created in their most perfect form by seasoned Iranian master artists.
In a renaissance of contemporary Iranian art, Bahman Mossavar-Rahmani, founder and CIO of UAS Asset Management, sits down with Barron's Sonia Talati to discuss his passion for collecting art that speaks its mind.
Hundreds of artists from around the world are in the Turkish city of Istanbul to attend an international art fair. This year, Iran’s capital city Tehran has been chosen as the focus of Contemporary Istanbul 2015. She works both as a writer and poet, as well as a painter, sculptor, performance artist and director of Galerie-Benakohell. Biography Shahla Aghapour grew up as the daughter of Iranian-Azerbaijanis and was early interested in arts and literature. In addition to studying art she also trained as a journalist and at the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, she worked for the newspaper Ayandegan. Golnar Adili (born 1976 in Virginia) is an Iranian-American multidisciplinary artist based in Brooklyn, New York. Much of her work is influenced by growing up in post-Iranian Revolution in Tehran and issues of displacement. Adili was born in 1976 in Falls Church, Virginia, but by 1980 at the age four her family moved back to Iran. Her parents were political activists and after their move to Iran, her father was forced to flee back to the United States. She returned to the United States in 1994 to reunite with her father and pursue her college education. By now you must heard the Express Rail construction in West Kowloon needs an additional $19.6 billion funding approval from Legco, costing the project soars to $85.3 billion.
