Police hunt for unicorn after attempted servo smash and grab

  • 91 reading now

Science is wrong, unicorns do exist. And they're on a spree of attempted smash and grabs in Melbourne's outer eastern suburbs.

Police are hunting for a unicorn, yes a unicorn, after two wannabe crooks failed to knock over service stations on Friday morning.

Two men, one in a rubber unicorn mask and the other in a "ninja-style" shawl, attempted to use baseball bats to force their way into a Caltex on the corner of Canterbury and Liverpool roads in Kilsyth at 2am.

Unsuccessful, the disguised duo turned their attention to a 7-Eleven in Upwey about 45 minutes earlier, attempting the same brute force tactics that didn't work earlier.

Again they fled empty-handed, possibly to a fancy dress party.

Police are looking for witnesses and anyone with information or who saw the incidents are urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
