The OHCHR Regional Office for Central America was established in Panama City, Panama, following the signature of an agreement between OHCHR and the Government of Panama on 15 February 2007.
The Regional Office for Central America covers the countries of Belize, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Panama, as well as regional issues and activities. It also covers the Dominican Republic until a human rights advisor is deployed.
