In a unanimous decision, three judges, including Judge Richard Clifton (top left) and Judge William Canby (bottom left), from the San Francisco-based 9th US Circuit Court of Appeals ruled not to reinstate President Donald Trump's travel ban. The president lashed out on Twitter, saying: 'SEE YOU IN COURT, THE SECURITY OF OUR NATION IS AT STAKE!' The ruling came after a lower-court ruling suspended the ban that temporarily suspended the nation's refugee program and immigration from countries that have raised terrorism concerns. US District Judge James Robart in Seattle issued a temporary restraining order halting the ban last week after Washington state and Minnesota sued following Trump's announcement of the order. Now, an appeal to the US Supreme Court seems likely. It would put the decision in the hands of a divided court that has a vacancy. Trump's nominee, Neil Gorsuch, could not be confirmed in time to take part in any consideration of the ban. Meanwhile, the president's defeated election rival, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, tweeted '3-0,' noting the appeal court judges' unanimous call.
