A major Sydney court complex has been put under lockdown following an apparent security scare.
The Downing Centre Court Complex and the John Maddison Tower at the rear of the building have been closed after a security guard reportedly found internal doors to the building unlocked on Friday morning.
Police were called to the area at about 9.00am.

Officers are searching the building and court matters have been put off until 2pm on Friday, Channel 9 reports.

The Downing Centre court complex is adjacent to the John Maddison Tower, where the Lindt Cafe siege inquiry is being held.
