In 2016, Lonnie Franklin Jr, nicknamed the Grim Sleeper, was convicted of serial murder in Los Angeles, California. With murders committed between 1985 to 2010 the true number of his victims remains unknown. In the 1980s, following the deaths of several women in south Los Angeles, California, community members formed the "Black Coalition Fighting Back Serial Murders". The group pressured police into setting up a task force and into acknowledging the deaths as serial killings.
On February 25, 2009, Police Chief Bratton addressed the press for the first time regarding the case, at which time the police formally gave the killer the "Grim Sleeper" nickname chosen by L.A. Weekly. The nickname of the Grim Sleeper surfaced due to a lull in his crimes between 1988 and 2002, although prosecutors now believe he did continue to kill during this period but his victims may never be found. This documentary, 'Tales of the Grim Sleeper' visits the neighborhood where the crimes occurred, following director Nick Broomfield as he explores how these killings could go unsolved for so many years.
On 10th August 2016, Judge Kathleen Kennedy gave her final verdict for Lonnie Franklin agreeing with the death penalty verdict decided on by jurors 3 months ago. She rejected the notions for a new trial and that a sentence of death would be unconstitutional. She said "I can't think of anyone I've encountered in all my years in the criminal justice system that has committed the monstrous crimes that you have."

Arthur Shawcross is a serial killer who murdered 14 people over the span of 17 years in rochester new york. he murdered people from prositutes to children. Supposedly he received an mrs scan of his brain that revealed he had an abnormality that is shared between the majority of serial killers that can also lead to extreme violence and it is believed that if Arthur Shawcross didn’t have this abnormality, he wouldn’t have become a serial killer. he also suffered from a condition known as a ‘partial seizure’ where if one of his victims would say trigger worlds, like “ill tell your wife what is happening” he would see a bright white light, and the next time he was functioning normally would be when he was in his car with a body besides him, which lead psychologist to believe he didn’t have conscious control over what he was doing. And that a brain abnormality, mental illness and being sexually abused as a child resulted in an almost deadly cocktail that all played a part in him committing these awful murders. This is a disturbing interview of the man who cause so much pain in the lives of so many people.
Edmund Kemper is a notorious serial killer, he was charged with 8 counts of first degree murder and received 7 years to life concurrent, which is short means that each sentence will run one after another. he began driving along the freeway picking up hitchhikers shortly after a 5 year prison sentence as just a hobby and found he began better an better at getting people into his car over time, which he said wasn’t rehear but was like playing a game of chess that would then become more sinister, this interview is over 30 minutes long and he goes into detail about how he would find and lure his victims, here is a short clip of the interview

Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinsk was given 2 life sentences in prison for 5 counts of murder despite that fact that he claims to have killed over 100 people, he is slightly different from some other serial killers as after the age of 25 he became a mafia hitman, killing anyone who he was ordered to. As an imitation he even had to kill an innocent person walking their dog just to prove he had what it takes. and throughout the interview his absoloute lack of remorse is clear to see, here is a shrt clip of the iceman himself
this interview is with a man called gary ridgeway who was convicted of 48 murders despite confessing to 70 of them but it is actually suspected that he killed over 90 people, the majority of his victims being prostitites. His murders spanned over the course of 16 years until he was finally apprehended in november 2001. he received the nickname the green river killer after 5 of hs first victims were found in green river in utah. He is now known as americas most prolific serial killer.

Serial killer
A serial killer is a person who murders three or more people, usually due to abnormal psychological gratification, with the murders taking place over more than a month and including a significant break (a "cooling off period") between them. Some sources, such as the FBI, disregard the "three or more" criterion and define serial killing as "a series of two or more murders, committed as separate events, usually, but not always, by one offender acting alone".
Although psychological gratification is the usual motive for serial killing, and most serial killings involve sexual contact with the victim, the FBI states that the motives of serial killers can include anger, thrill, financial gain, and attention seeking. The murders may be attempted or completed in a similar fashion, and the victims may have something in common: age group, appearance, gender, or race, for example.
Serial killing is not the same as mass murdering, nor is it spree killing, in which murders are committed in two or more locations in a short time. However, cases of extended bouts of sequential killings over periods of weeks or months with no apparent "cooling off period" or "return to normalcy" have caused some experts to suggest a hybrid category of "spree-serial killer".

Grim Sleeper
Grim Sleeper is the nickname for a suspected and accused serial killer in Los Angeles, California, believed to be responsible for at least ten murders, one suspected and one attempted murder in Los Angeles since 1985. The attacker was dubbed the "Grim Sleeper" because he appears to have taken a 14-year slumber from his crimes, from 1988 to 2002.
On July 7, 2010, Lonnie David Franklin Jr., 57, was arrested. The Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office charged him with ten counts of murder, one count of attempted murder, and special circumstance allegations of multiple murders in the case. A grand jury indictment was issued on March 23, 2011. Franklin has been in jail since his arrest awaiting trial; the large volume of evidence in this case, some dating back thirty years, had caused a lengthy pretrial discovery.
The trial was originally scheduled to begin on June 30, 2015. In May 2015, Superior Court Judge Kathleen Kennedy delayed the trial until September 9 after Franklin's defense attorney requested more time to test several pieces of evidence. In August 2015 Superior Court Judge Kathleen Kennedy delayed the trial until October 14. In September 2015, Superior Court Judge Kathleen Kennedy once again delayed the trial, this time until December 15.

Jack the Ripper
Jack the Ripper is the best known name given to an unidentified serial killer generally believed to have been active in the largely impoverished areas in and around the Whitechapel district of London in 1888. The name "Jack the Ripper" originated in a letter written by someone claiming to be the murderer that was disseminated in the media. The letter is widely believed to have been a hoax, and may have been written by journalists in an attempt to heighten interest in the story and increase their newspapers' circulation. The killer was called "the Whitechapel Murderer" as well as "Leather Apron" within the crime case files, as well as in contemporary journalistic accounts.
Attacks ascribed to Jack the Ripper typically involved female prostitutes who lived and worked in the slums of the East End of London whose throats were cut prior to abdominal mutilations. The removal of internal organs from at least three of the victims led to proposals that their killer had some anatomical or surgical knowledge. Rumours that the murders were connected intensified in September and October 1888, and letters were received by media outlets and Scotland Yard from a writer or writers purporting to be the murderer. The "From Hell" letter received by George Lusk of the Whitechapel Vigilance Committee included half of a preserved human kidney, purportedly taken from one of the victims. She said "I can't think of anyone I've encountered in all my years in the criminal justice system that has committed the monstrous crimes that you have."

Arthur Shawcross is a serial killer who murdered 14 people over the span of 17 years in rochester new york. he murdered people from prositutes to children. Supposedly he received an mrs scan of his brain that revealed he had an abnormality that is shared between the majority of serial killers that can also lead to extreme violence and it is believed that if Arthur Shawcross didn’t have this abnormality, he wouldn’t have become a serial killer. he also suffered from a condition known as a ‘partial seizure’ where if one of his victims would say trigger worlds, like “ill tell your wife what is happening” he would see a bright white light, and the next time he was functioning normally would be when he was in his car with a body besides him, which lead psychologist to believe he didn’t have conscious control over what he was doing. And that a brain abnormality, mental illness and being sexually abused as a child resulted in an almost deadly cocktail that all played a part in him committing these awful murders. This is a disturbing interview of the man who cause so much pain in the lives of so many people.
Edmund Kemper is a notorious serial killer, he was charged with 8 counts of first degree murder and received 7 years to life concurrent, which is short means that each sentence will run one after another. he began driving along the freeway picking up hitchhikers shortly after a 5 year prison sentence as just a hobby and found he began better an better at getting people into his car over time, which he said wasn’t rehear but was like playing a game of chess that would then become more sinister, this interview is over 30 minutes long and he goes into detail about how he would find and lure his victims, here is a short clip of the interview
this interview is of a man called ted bundy, wgikst incarcerated he admitted to killing and raping over 30 women and girls although the number is thought to be almost double the, the interview you cn see his was his last before he was put to death by the state. he believes his cravings were filled by violent pronography and he believes this has correlation with many other serial killers, he says after each killing he would feel an enormous amount of remorse and guilt, which would then eventually fade and his urge to kill would come back even stronger. this interview was taken loiterally hours before he was ut to death
Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinsk was given 2 life sentences in prison for 5 counts of murder despite that fact that he claims to have killed over 100 people, he is slightly different from some other serial killers as after the age of 25 he became a mafia hitman, killing anyone who he was ordered to. As an imitation he even had to kill an innocent person walking their dog just to prove he had what it takes. and throughout the interview his absoloute lack of remorse is clear to see, here is a shrt clip of the iceman himself

Alfredo Galán was born in Puertollano, province of Ciudad Real, Castile-La Mancha, Spain. Galán became class president in high school, but was remembered as unremarkable and introverted. In September 1998, he joined the Spanish Army and became a corporal in the Parachute Regiment of Alcalá de Henares and participated in humanitarian missions in Bosnia. He was sent back to Spain during the Prestige oil spill. Galán stole a car and was sent to the Gómez Ulla Military Hospital in Madrid. He was diagnosed with neurosis and anxiety and continued drinking.
