A man has been charged after he was caught committing a lewd act in front of a female passenger on a Perth train.
Police allege the 23-year-old man was travelling towards Midland station around 3.30pm on Thursday when he committed an indecent act in front of the female passenger.
It is also alleged the man assaulted a transit guard who approached him.
The man was finally restrained by the guard but not before he ripped off chunks of a passengers beard.

It's alleged the man kicked and lashed out at another passenger before he was arrested by police at Midland Station.
The 23-year-old Midland man has been charged with a string of charges including an indecent act, two counts of assault and aggravated burglary.
He is due to appear before the Midland Magistrates Court on Friday.
