Pistols at dawn! Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly film spoof movie Holmes and Watson on location at Hampton Court Palace
Sherlock Holmes has been portrayed by a vast array of actors, on both film and TV.
And the latest to take on the role of the sleuth is none other than comedy legend Will Ferrell, who will star in the upcoming Holmes and Watson.
Playing his sidekick will be John C Reilly - who has joined Ferrell on location this week at former home of King Henry VIII, Hampton Court Palace.

Further shots then show Ferrell screeching at someone off camera, also brandishing a gun.
The comedy - which looks to be slapstick in nature - is based on the original story by Arthur Conan Doyle and is being directed by Eten Cohen, who is responsible for the likes of Tropic Thunder, Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa and Men in Black 3.
Slated for a summer 2018 release, the film boasts a further cast of stars, including Rob Brydon (Gavin & Stacy), Lauren Lapkus (Jurassic World), Kelly Macdonald (Gosford Park), Rebecca Hall (Iron Man 3), Ralph Fiennes (Spectre) and Hugh Laurie (The Night Manager).

The actors have worked together on Stepbrothers in 2008 and Talladega Nights prior to that in 2006.
While Ferrell tends to keep to comedic roles, such as Zoolander and Daddy's Home, Reilly has taken on notable dramatic parts, such as in The Hours and We Need To Talk About Kevin.
He will be seen later this year in the latest King Kong movie, Kong: Skull Island.
