For complete design recommendations, visit the Facebook Ads Guide. Once there, choose an objective in the left column. After choosing your objective, scroll down the page to view Design Recommendations. If you want more information on how your ad will look depending on where it's shown on Facebook, click See Display Specs below the Design Recommendations section.

Different ad objectives may recommend different ad sizes or design suggestions for Facebook and Instagram. If you'd like your Facebook ads to be eligible to show in all of the different formats, including the desktop News Feed, mobile News Feed and the right column, then you should use the recommended ad image size for your objective.

If your image is larger or smaller than the dimensions specified in the Facebook Ads Guide, it'll be automatically resized to fit in the ad. Animated or flash images aren't supported. Learn more about why your ad image isn't rendering correctly.
