They've been married for more than a decade, but sparks still fly between Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban.

In an interview with Vogue Australia, the actress revealed she is sure her country singer husband will not disappoint in the present department this Valentine's Day, after previously organising a private fireworks display for the couple. 

But the couple will be forced to spend the romantic holiday apart this year, due to competing awards commitments.

The Oscar winner recounted how one year Keith took her to a remote outback destination for a Valentine's Day she never forgot.

'When I turned 40, (he) drove me up to the top of a small hill in Bowen in Queensland and sat me down,' Nicole told Vogue Australia (as reported in The Daily Telegraph).

'He had put together this huge fireworks display. It was just for the two of us. It was sexy.'

On Wednesday, the loved up pair attended the Los Angeles premiere of her new HBO drama Big Little Lies.

The new television series also stars Reese Witherspoon, Zoe Kravitz and Shailene Woodley.

Keith revealed to media at the event that he and wife Nicole would be forced apart on Valentine's Day due to clashing events, the Irish Examiner reported.

Nicole will attend the BAFTAs in London where she is nominated for best supporting actress in Lion.

The country singer will be in Los Angeles at the Grammys, where he is nominated for three awards.   

'We’re going to be on other sides of the planet,' Keith said. 'It’s a conundrum because it’s a huge honour for both of us.'

Nicole added: 'It’s probably never going to happen again so we go, "OK".'
