Fitz and The Tantrums

Fitz and The Tantrums is an American neo soul/indie pop band from Los Angeles, formed in 2008. Their debut studio album, Pickin' Up the Pieces, released in August 2010, received critical acclaim and reached No. 1 on the Billboard Heatseekers chart. They were heralded as a "band to watch" in an April 2011 profile in Rolling Stone. They signed to current label Elektra Records In early 2013 and went on to release their sophomore LP More than Just a Dream on May 7, 2013.

The band consists of Michael Fitzpatrick (Lead vocals), Noelle Scaggs (co-Lead vocals and percussion), James King (saxophone, flute, keyboard, percussion and guitar), Joseph Karnes (bass guitar), Jeremy Ruzumna (keyboards) and John Wicks (drums and percussion). Producer Chris Seefried was also a co-writer on the band's first album, Pickin' Up The Pieces. Their second album, 2013's More than Just a Dream, was produced by Tony Hoffer.

History

Fitz and The Tantrums was founded by Michael Fitzpatrick in 2008. Having purchased an old Conn electronic organ, he was inspired to write the song "Breakin' the Chains of Love" that same night. He contacted his college friend, saxophonist James King, who recommended singer Noelle Scaggs and drummer John Wicks. In turn, Wicks brought in bassist Joseph Karnes and keyboardist Jeremy Ruzumna. According to Fitzpatrick, the band immediately clicked. He has said, "It was literally like five phone calls, one rehearsal, and we could have played a show that night."

Peopletoys

Peopletoys (also known as Devil Times Five and The Horrible House on the Hill) is a 1974 American horror film directed by Sean MacGregor and David Sheldon (uncredited), and starring Sorrell Booke, Gene Evans, Shelley Morrison, and Leif Garrett. The film follows a group of sociopathic, homicidal children who survive a car accident in the mountains, and seek refuge in a rural village where a group of vacationers are staying. The film was released under the title Tantrums in the United Kingdom.

Plot

Five children crawl from the wreckage of a deadly van accident in a snowy canyon. The juvenile survivors seek shelter at a secluded mountaintop winter home occupied by a rich businessman (Gene Evans) and his friends (Sorrell Booke and Shelley Morrison). Soon, strange mishaps occur and the group is stranded without electricity and telephones. One by one, the adults begin to fall prey to a series of shocking and violent deaths. By the time the few surviving adults suspect the demented delinquents it may be too late.

Music video

A music video or song video is a short film integrating a song and imagery, produced for promotional or artistic purposes. Modern music videos are primarily made and used as a marketing device intended to promote the sale of music recordings. There are also cases where songs are used in tie in marketing campaigns that allow them to become more than just a song. Tie ins and merchandising could be used in toys are marketing campaigns for food and other products. Although the origins of music videos date back to musical short films that first appeared in the 1920s, they came into prominence in the 1980s when MTV based their format around the medium. Prior to the 1980s, these works were described by various terms including "illustrated song", "filmed insert", "promotional (promo) film", "promotional clip", "promotional video", "song video", "song clip" or "film clip". Since the creation and increased popularity of YouTube, mainstream artists now promote new music videos by releasing trailers of short promos on the site for their upcoming song and music video. Consequentially, YouTube has been converted into a social media platform for celebrities and artists to market themselves to their fans and audiences.

The Walker

The Walker is a 2007 American-British drama film written and directed by Paul Schrader. It is an independent production and is the latest installment in Schrader's night workers series of films, starting with Taxi Driver in 1976, followed by American Gigolo in 1980 and Light Sleeper in 1992.

Synopsis

Carter Page III (Harrelson), a middle-aged gay man in Washington, D. C., is a "walker", a single man who escorts other men's wives to social events so the husbands do not have to. One of the women he escorts, Lynn Lockner (Scott Thomas), is the wife of a United States senator and is carrying on an affair with a lobbyist. When she finds the lobbyist murdered, she embroils Carter in an investigation that leads to the highest levels of the federal government.

Cash Cash is an American electronic dance music group from Roseland, New Jersey.

The group consists of the brothers Jean Paul Makhlouf and Alex Makhlouf, along with Samuel Frisch. They produce, record, mix and master all their music together as a trio. They are currently signed to Big Beat / Atlantic Records, a subsidiary of Warner Music Group worldwide. The group's highest charting song to date is "Take Me Home", which features vocals by Bebe Rexha. Their song "Lightning" was the following single released and features vocals from John Rzeznik of the Goo Goo Dolls. "Surrender" was the third single released since the group signed with their new label. An animated lyric video for the song was premiered in Times Square by Shazam and officially released on October 6, 2014.

As of 2014, the group has released three full-length albums, an array of EPs, singles, and provided official remixes for acts such as Krewella, Capital Cities, Kelly Clarkson, Katy Perry, Bruno Mars,Showtek, and Icona Pop, along with producing and co-writing Krewella's single "Live for the Night".
