I have recently returned to this account after a fairly lengthy break (and after easing my way back a little with User:EightTwoThreeFiveOneZeroSevenThreeOne, which I have now abandoned), and I have resumed admin duties.

My admin work now consists mainly of grunt work - CAT:CSD, WP:RFU, WP:AIV, WP:UAA, checking on new accounts and their contributions, and generally trying to help newcomers. I'm a global renamer and handle name change requests (mainly at WP:RFU).

Recall

I am open to recall, but I don't want to put in place any complicated procedure. All I require is a discussion in an appropriate place (the admin noticeboard springs to mind), closed by a disinterested editor after a suitable period, and if the result is judged to be a consensus to desysop then I will resign.

Useful stuff

Here's a few key questions:

You are currently blocked because your username appears directly related to a subject that you are trying to create an article about, contrary to the username policy. Changing the username will not allow you to break these 3 important principles.

Hi. I'm sorry to have had to delete the article, but Wikipedia only carries articles about subjects once they have achieved a sufficient level of notability, and at this moment xxx does not appear to. Please have a read of WP:N to learn about Wikipedia's notability criteria, and should xxx some day achieve the required notability and attract in-depth coverage by multiple independent reliable sources, Wikipedia will be happy to host an article about her/him/them/it. In the meantime, please feel free to contact me on my Talk page if I can be of any assistance.

I'm sorry to have had to delete your user page, but its contents were not compatible with the purpose for which Wikipedia provides user pages. Unlike Facebook and similar sites, Wikipedia is not a site for writing about yourself or hosting personal information for your own purposes. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia (click that link if you are not sure what one of those is), and user accounts are for people who wish to help us build that encyclopedia by writing new articles, improving existing articles, etc - and user pages are intended for you to offer a little information about yourself in relation to your Wikipedia activities. Please have a read of Wikipedia:User pages to learn a bit more about user page use.

Hi. I see you tagged User:xxx with speedy deletion WP:G1. However, the description for G1 says:

"This applies to pages consisting entirely of incoherent text or gibberish with no meaningful content or history. It does not cover poor writing, partisan screeds, obscene remarks, implausible theories, vandalism or hoaxes, fictional material, coherent non-English material, or poorly translated material. Nor does it apply to user sandboxes or other pages in the user namespace. In short, if you can understand it, G1 does not apply."

The page is in reasonably understandable English, and it is in user namespace - and so it is not eligible for G1 on those two counts. I have, therefore, removed the G1 tag.

Welcome to Wikipedia, but it is not a place like Facebook or LinkedIn for people to write about themselves. It is a quite different sort of site, a project to build an encyclopedia, so it is selective about subjects for articles, and writing about oneself is strongly discouraged, for reasons explained at Wikipedia is not about YOU and Wikipedia:Autobiography.

Wikipedia user pages are not like those at social-networking sites. Their use is explained at WP:NOTWEBHOST:

"Wikipedians have their own user pages, but they should be used primarily to present information relevant to working on the encyclopedia. Limited biographical information is allowed, but user pages should not function as personal webpages or be repositories for large amounts of material that is irrelevant to collaborating on Wikipedia. If you are looking to make a personal webpage or blog or to post your résumé, please make use of one of the many free providers on the Internet or any hosting included with your Internet account."

You can find out more about Wikipedia at the WP:Welcome page and the WP:Introduction.
