How big should my bath be?

Bath tubs vary in size and are often standardised in bathroom suites for smaller British bathrooms. They are typically available in the following sizes:
standard: 1700mm x 700mm and 1700mm x 750mm
corner: 1400mm x 1400mm
large: 1800mm x 800mm or 900m-1200mm x 1000mm
While floor space is an essential consideration, the size of your bath also needs to be able to accommodate the people in it! Baths made for two are supremely indulgent; double-ended baths with taps and overflow in the middle offer comfort for shared bathing than single-ended baths, or for extra relaxation and a spa-like feel you might consider roomy whirlpool baths.

Cast iron baths are a classic choice for lovers of roll top baths. Cast iron baths offer traditional elegance and claw-foot baths can make a stunning statement feature in your bathroom. Cast iron baths can be painted to suit your decor, but they are very heavy so just bear in mind your floor may need extra reinforcement.

Copper baths tend to be lighter than their metal counterparts, and are also available in roll top and clawfoot designs. Their polished copper surface lend character to period and modern bathrooms alike, and heat up quickly and retain warmth for the perfect soak.

Stone resin baths could make the perfect sleek centrepiece for your contemporary bathroom. Warmer to the touch than natural stone, the combination of limestone and resin makes these baths extra durable with superior insulation.
