A video has captured the moment that two flight passengers claiming to be lawyers got into a vicious row over an arm rest.
Footage taken by another flier shows the man and woman shouting at each other as the flight crew desperate tries to calm them down.
Many of the other passengers on the plane, believed to be a Monarch Airways flight from Gatwick to Malaga in Spain, can he heard laughing as the pair's feud escalates.
The video starts mid-way through the row, as an air steward tries to get the man to move seats.
The woman then claims that she is a lawyer and 'knows' her rights, leading the other man to scream: 'I'm a lawyer too, you stupid woman'
Exasperated, he says: 'We are arguing over an armrest. Relocate her; I’m not going anywhere.
'I paid for this seat. The woman is obnoxious and rude. I’m not moving anywhere, anywhere at all.'
The woman sat next to him is then heard saying to staff 'he needs to move', before shouting 'do not spit on me' at her rival.
As the row intensifies and voices get louder, other fliers can be heard shushing the pair.

Unconvinced, she retorts 'oh really?' before two flight attendants try again to get the man to move to the back of the plane.

He refuses again, adding: 'I haven’t done anything wrong. Ask her to go to the back. What did I do? I’m sleeping.'
The woman then threatens the stewards with legal action if they do not move him anyway, saying: 'I’m going to report this to the airline if you guys don’t do anything.
'He just punched me. I’m a lawyer and I will sue you guys if you don’t do anything. He just hit me with his elbow and everyone has seen it.'
Fliers can then be heard giggling at the pair's back and forth, with one person heard saying: 'Everyone’s a lawyer today'.
As the footage, recorded on New Year's Eve, draws to a close, an air hostess asks if the pair are travelling together.
Both of them shout 'no' in unison, causing the rest of the passengers to burst out in laughter and clapping.
At the end of the video, both parties are seemingly moved to either end of the plane, with the woman giving an unhappy look at other passengers as the giggle away
