Financial blogger Matt and his fiancee managed to save more than $50,000 in 2016. But the Chicago-based couple hasn't always been money savvy. Up until 2014, when they decided to get serious about their finances, they were buried in student loans and living paycheck to paycheck. They upped their savings through various strategies, but if they were to pinpoint the most effective one, it would be to live big in a tiny home. "Our choice of living has been, from a numbers perspective, the biggest factor when it comes to doubling our savings rate in 2016 and helping us build wealth rapidly," Matt writes on his blog, "Distilled Dollar." An aircraft in Florida flew closer than it should have to Air Force One on Friday, sources told ABC News. The plane, which sources say was flying parallel to Air Force One as it approached Palm Beach, should have maintained a separation of at least three nautical miles from President Trump’s plane, which was en route to his Mar-a-Lago estate for the weekend.
A mother has been charged with raping a four-year-old boy and broadcasting it live on an internet video streaming application. India Kirksey, from West Hill, Ohio, was arrested after someone watched her recording of the incident called the authorities from more than 1,000 miles away in Texas. Police said she confessed to performing oral sex on the boy during an interview.
Police video caught Floyd passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle, and that was enough for the Cardinals to cut ties with the wide receiver. Now, the overall cash and prizes Floyd is walking away with may raise some eyebrows. As noted by For The Win, Floyd’s acquisition equaled a grand total of three games (two regular season contests, one playoff) and he’s coming out with $1.2 million added to his bank account and a Super Bowl ring for his five total catches on with Belichick’s football club.
Since appearing in 2008’s Iron Man, Tony Stark has built 46 different suits, including Mark I, the bulky, tank-like armor he used to escape the Ten Rings. Now, it looks like he’s ready to debut number 47. As part of Hasbro’s Spider-Man: Homecoming line of toys, Iron Man will apparently wear new armor that looks a lot like the suit that shows up in the Ultimate comics, similar color scheme and everything. The most noticeable difference is the helmet, but otherwise they look pretty close. The new armor looks awesome and reminds me a lot of what was worn in Iron Man 2, opting for a color scheme of red, gold, and grey. The suit also looks more stripped down compared to what he wore in Captain America:
DEAR ABBY: I had planned to wait until my daughter was 12 and in the sixth grade to teach her about sex. Unfortunately, she was given a very thorough, graphically described education by a playmate. At the time, her playmate was in second grade. My daughter was in the third grade. I was devastated. Not only did I feel she was too young, I felt robbed of an experience that should be cherished between a mother and daughter. I strongly believe that parents should decide for themselves when to teach their children about sex, and the children should not have the experience forced upon them. The playmate’s parents like to think of themselves as progressive and nonconformist. When I confronted the mother,
