He has been enjoying the glory of his fifth championship win.

But Tom Brady revealed that before the confetti had even settled, his wife asked him to leave the game he loves multiple times.

The 39-year-old quarterback sat down for an interview with SiriusXM NFL Radio on Monday where he revealed Gisele Bundchen told him she would like him to retire on three occasions during the night of his Super Bowl LI win.

Obviously the New England Patriots star is not ready to hang them up just yet as he had quite the response for his wife of seven years.

Brady said: 'If it was up to my wife, she would have me retire today. She told me that last night three times.

'And I said, "Too bad, babe, I’m having too much fun right now."'

'I’m having too much fun right now': The 39-year-old quarterback is enjoying still his time on the field

As the veteran will hit 40 before next season, many have wondered what his future will be as the average retirement age is just 30 but he still believes that he has some great years ahead of him.

Brady added: 'You know, I feel like I can still do it. If you love what you do and you’re capable of doing it, then I might be so bored if I wasn’t going out there knowing that I could still do it.

'So I’m going to work hard to be ready to go, and I still plan on playing for a long time.'

One of the main priorities for the Brazilian beauty definitely seems to be her husband's health as Tom revealed Gisele had given him a necklace that supposedly has protective powers in order to keep him safe in the lead up to the big game.

The New England Patriots superstar said: 'She gave me this [necklace] for protection, and she’d be really happy that I’m wearing it because she doesn’t like anyone hitting me.

'She always says, "Throw the ball really fast, really fast." So that’s what I try to do.'

Tom and 36-year-old Gisele were married in 2009 and share two children together: seven-year-old son Benjamin Brady and four-year-old daughter Vivian.

The four-time Super Bowl MVP also has a nine-year-old son named John with ex Bridget Moynahan.

He told SiriusXM that having his family life settled has allowed him to focus more on his NFL career as he explained: 'In some ways, being more experienced and having your family life settled does allow you to focus a little bit more, too, because there’s less B.S. in your life.

'You have your family and you can go to work and focus on your job. And you expect your teammates to do the same.'
