Police were called to a flat near Earl's Court shortly before 2pm this afternoon and found the former model dead. Her family have been told. Palmer-Tomkinson rose to fame in the 1990s as a party-loving socialite in London's celebrity circle. She made headlines with a £400-a-day cocaine addiction, which left her needing septum reconstruction surgery in 2006. The socialite was close to Prince Charles and had a close relationship with the Royal Family. She attended William and Kate's wedding.

The socialite, who struggled with cocaine addiction for years, was a guest on a celebrity special of The Jeremy Kyle Show in 2014 when she talked about addiction and being a recluse.

The burqa-wearing wife of a former Islamic State recruiter faces legal action after she failed to stand for a District Court judge. The wife of the man who was trapped in a dam for five hours with his head barely above the water has praised his extraordinary grit and determination to survive. CCTV shows mother trying to escape 'abusive' boyfriend

Terrifying surveillance video (main) showed desperate mother, Jessica Wilson's attempt to hand her toddler to a McDonald's drive-thru worker as she battled the child's father, Levenski Crossty (inset), 27, who allegedly kidnapped and beat her. At one point, Crossty is seen in the video pulling Wilson's arm in what appeared to be an attempt to get her back in the car. She then makes it over the the drive-thru employee, who reached out for the little girl and told Wilson to 'hand the child to me', according to prosecutors. Once Crossty managed to pull the child away from Wilson, he got back in the car with the child and drove away. Wilson was left stranded and 'desperately asking someone to call 911', prosecutors said. Earlier in the day, Crossty allegedly beat Wilson and left her with two black eyes, a cut on her head and a bite mark on her hand. The incident took place in July 2016 but Crossty's trial began Tuesday. Crossty is charged with felonious assault, theft and multiple counts of abduction and kidnapping.

Concerned animal lovers reportedly spotted the ailing three-and-half tonne jumbo, named Sanjay, tied up with spiked chains by his cruel captors in Gosaiganj, Uttar Pradesh, India. Government authorities in India tracked down the 'gentle giant' and with the help of an animal sanctuary managed to swoop in and rescue him. Vets said the 50-year-old animal had likely spent his entire life being coerced into performing at weddings and parties under threat of violence.
