Once more onto the beach! Host Jeff Probst says newly revealed Survivor Game Changers fan favourite cast is strongest ever

It is the reality show that tests more than just personality.

And Survivor host Jeff Porbst has said the forthcoming Game Changers series is going to feature the widest array of competitors yet.

The idea of the season is to put the greatest participants from the past against each other in what producers hope will be a thrilling survival of the fittest format.

Explaining the 34th season of the show, Jeff told Parade: 'Like many Survivor ideas, it’s been one that’s been circulating for a while, but we wanted to wait until we really did feel like we had a diverse enough group of Game Changers.

'Not just guys who were strong in challenges or women who are very strategic. We wanted an array.

'We wanted to be able to go into our past and also our present. We felt like the last few seasons, we’ve had such good gameplay that there are a lot of current players who felt right for it.'

Taking place in the Mamanuca Islands in Fiji, this season will initially feature two tribes, while a third group will be later introduced to add even more competition to the mix.

Everyone is battling to earn the title of Sole Survivor, and the not inconsiderable cash prize of $1,000,000.

And in the trailer for the show he further My idea of Game Changers is anytime you are actively making a decision, you’re making a move.

'There are a lot of people who don’t make decisions. They purposely put themselves in a spot where you take them by the hand. Those are the people I would never ask back. You don’t contribute to the game evolving.

'But not making a move because you’ve decided it’s not the right time to make a move? That’s a move, one hundred per cent.

'Do I go all in or do I let him win this hand? I’m going to let him win this hand. That’s a move.'

The competitors are already relishing the challenge, and are utilising a variety of strategies to come out on top.

Season 32 favourite Debbie Wanner said: 'The best thing to do is to either slit the jugular or the Achilles heel. Whichever one you expose first.

Season 2's Jeff Varner, who also returned for season 31, said: 'Half of them are already rubbing me up the wrong way. I mean in terms of getting on my nerves

'I know there's some good players out there, I know there's some mean people, but I've got every bit of it in me.'

And Season 28's Tony Vlachos seemed overconfident, dismissively describing his rivals as, 'Same circus, different clowns.'

Meanwhile Tai Trang seemed to be trying to fly under the radar.

Showing the velvet glove that surely hides an iron fist, he said: 'I want to keep it light, sing and dance a little more. Everybody's playing.'

Saucy blonde Andrea Boehlke, who will be gracing the screens in a skimpy bikini for a third time, said: I'm stoked. I'm a little older, a little wiser. This is an all-star season.

'My favourite thing about this season so far is there are a lot of huge threats, so the key is to put those bigger threats against each other.'
