White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has responded to Melissa McCarthy's eye-wateringly accurate portrayal of him on Saturday Night Live, arguing the comedian's performance was over the top and SNL needs to stop being "mean" to the Trump administration.
Speaking to Extra at the Super Bowl in Houston, Texas, Spicer revealed he found out about the sketch while leaving church on Sunday morning US time.
He's notoriously private, but James Packer's ex-fiance Tziporah Malkah (previously known as Kate Fischer) is revealing a side to the billionaire that has never been heard of before. Vision: Network 10.

In particular, the press wrangler revealed he wasn't a fan of the way McCarthy poked fun at his gum habit – arguing she should "slow down on the gum chewing".
"SNL used to be really funny," Spicer said. "There's a streak of meanness now that they've crossed over to mean."

Spicer, who was thrust into the spotlight after he yelled at journalists for reporting the truth about crowd sizes at Donald Trump's inauguration before refusing to take questions, also took the opportunity to attack "the left" for protesting against the Trump presidency.
Hundreds of thousands of people have also marched on Washington in the first few weeks of Donald Trump's presidency, calling on the President to respect women's rights.
"Protesting is starting to become a profession for some on the left," Spicer said.
"Again, that's their right to do, but Americans need to understand it's not organic as it may seem sometimes."
McCarthy, who over the weekend returned to SNL after starring in the new Ghostbusters film, has been praised for the way she mocked Spicer's temper and frumpy suit jackets.
"I'm not here to be your buddy," she shouted at a crowd of reporters during the skit.
"I'm here to swallow gum, and I'm here to take names. Now let me wave something shiny in front of you monkeys."
