'Unforgivable!' Fans outraged as Donald Trump's congressional address to preempt NBC hit show This Is Us

President Donald Trump's February 28 address to Congress has caused NBC to push back broadcasts of its popular ensemble dramedy This Is Us - and the show's faithful fans aren't pleased.

The address from the commander-in-chief is slated to begin at 9/8c p.m., with Deadline reporting that three networks (NBC, CBS and Fox) have cleared at least 90 minutes for the president's speech, while ABC has freed up a two-hour block.

As the scheduling shift was announced, a number of fans of the upstart program - which stars Milo Ventimiglia, Mandy Moore, Sterling K. Brown and Chris Sullivan - took to Twitter to vent about the presidential preemption.

And user @LilyMiranda07 wrote, 'As if I needed more reason to hate Donald Trump.'

The Peacock network on Wednesday said that the February 28 broadcast will be pushed to March 7 at 9/8c, with the show's season finale airing a week later on March 14 at the same time.

Trump's speech will also impact the schedules of Trial & Error, a debuting comedy starring John Lithgow and Sherri Shepherd, which was pushed to a double-episode March 14 at 10/9c.

The speech is in lieu of the State of the Union address, as is the case for presidents who've just been sworn into the country's highest office.

White House press secretary Sean Spicer confirmed last month that The Celebrity Apprentice host had accepted an invitation from House Speaker Paul D. Ryan to speak in the session.

Ryan last month said Trump's February 28 speech serves as 'an opportunity for the people and their representatives to hear directly from our new president about his vision and our shared agenda.

'For too long, Washington has been too timid about addressing the big challenges facing our country,' Ryan said. 'We want this to be a bold government. We want this to be a government of action. We want this to be a government of solutions. And a government unified not just by party but by a commitment to restore self-government and to get our country back on track.'
