'She killed it!': Pink compliments Lady Gaga's Super Bowl halftime show and insists the Poker Face singer did NOT copy her acrobatics
Some people watching Sunday's Super Bowl 51 may have seen a striking resemblance between Lady Gaga's performance and singer Pink's amazingly aerobatic stage routines.
But any likeness was purely coincidence as on Monday Pink wrote a lengthy Instagram post that made sure to squash any rumors that the Super Bowl star ripped off the mother of two.
The opinionated star also used the post to make a political dig at the US president.
Supportive singer: On Monday, singer Pink made a lengthy Instagram post to squash any accusations Lady Gaga ripped off Pink's moves during the Super Bowl halftime show Sunday
Go Gaga! In the post Pink urged fans to celebrate Gaga for her gutsy performance Sunday
Setting the record straight: The mother of two praised Lady Gaga for her show stopping Super Bowl performance, saying that the Joanne artist 'killed it yesterday'
The 37-year-old talent started the post off by clearing the air.
'For the record: Let's squash this before it even has a chance to be a thing.... Lady Gaga killed it yesterday.'
She complimented the six-time Grammy winner further.
'Her voice was powerful and beautiful, her outfits were on point, choreography stellar, her heart was in it and she sang about love and inclusiveness, all in front of millions and millions of people.'
Soaring high: In the mother-of-two's post, she asked fans 'Who cares if I flew first?' while pointing out other performers who have also soared high in front of audiences
She continued to heap praise on the Million Reasons artist, saying: 'Let's celebrate a woman who has the guts to jump off a roof and stand up there in the first place.
'Who cares if I flew first? Cause I didn't! Cirque and Peter Pan been in the air for years.'
At the end of the post her message pivoted to the political.
'Now can we get back to the real controversy? The one where our so called leader is stripping our humanity away minute by minute...'
Opinionated: She finished the post by asking fans to get back to 'the real controversy', referring to new US President Donald Trump. Here the star appears with husband Carey Hart and their daughter Willow and son Jameson
She added the tags: #womensupportingwomen', '#happymonday', and '#letsnotgetdistracted' to drive her point home.
Since President Trump's election back in November, the star has been more than vocal about his distaste for the Commander in Chief.
Back in January, the So What singer was one of the many celebs to join the Women's March Los Angles held in opposition of the real estate mogul turned politician.
